The truck was not stripped - I'm sure with the 20s and sled pulling parts and toolbox, it weighed as much as most of the stripped CCSBs running. Also Brayden was a novice behind the wheel.;)

You've been all over every cheetah thread the past month or so and I for one have gotten tired of seeing it. I don't weigh in on it much but you do it in every thread on here and on DP. If you got something better, great, but no need to run down another supporting vendor every chance you get. Ric been out to Cali lately and bring some of his hater-aid for you?

Back on topic.

X2....;)

If you don't like seeing it, and don't care for the things Dan may say in a thread let me give you some advice. Please, if you would direct your attention to the upper left of the screen you will see a button, it has a red X or even the back button which is a green arrow button. Just click one of those and the problem will be solved.

But since we are talking about what pushes our buttons or makes our blood boil let me bring up the point of how many members who owned a LLY or LBZ Cheeter turbo talked up the LB7 Cheeter turbo before it even came out, before anyone ever ran one or even before one was made telling potential "buyers" how great of a turbo it was and how awsome it would make their trucks run. Yeah, I got tired of the hype members made with not one single shred of test data to back it up. Did that make you upset too? To be honest, It made me upset, but in the end each of the clowns talking the charger up ate crow soon after the LB7 Cheeter became a lame duck. quack quack

I'm calling BS on the HP numbers. Who's dyno was it? What were the Dyno conditions?

Dan we've been through this with others about calling BS on the HP number, and we backed it up with track times.

The truck put down 730hp on Danville Performance's dyno ran by Mark Broviak. The truck ran a [email protected] in the 1/4, The truck weighed 65??lbs.
It wasn't stripped, only thing removed was the weight bracket. I've ran the numbers and they seem to me to be right in line witheach other. Take it for what you will.

I also find it funny that these HP numbers came from the very same dyno that your company sponsors a dyno day at every spring. Does your company usually associate their name with something that is inaccurate? After a comment like that I'm sure they'll be more than happy to have you back to talk about your products to potential customers at the next dyno day. Good job Dan.

Amazing.......

Josh.. the LB7 Cheetah wasn't/isn't a lame whatever you called it..... It's a bolt on 4094 turbo... What's lame about that. It made 580hp on a tune and turbo LB7. They're available but I'm not pushing them due to the cost of mfg.

I have no idea what you are talking about. there is a lb7 cheetah truck that lives not even 10 miles from me and it runs like a raped ape. hasnt been on the dyno yet but feels just strong as my truck and i put down around 570hp

So Cal.
What were the weather conditions when the truck was on the dyno? Was there any correction factor?

Please expain this then. Why did our 06 lbz CC/SB (bigger truck, most likely heaver) run similar time/speed. We have dynoed this truck with our in house load cell dyno and it made around 650 rwhp. I can back this run up all day.

Also I have rewatched the video of the 11.55 run. Why does the truck backfire 3/4 the way down the track. I have been building/racing Duramax trucks for about 8 years, the only time I have seen a duramax do that is usually nitrous or some other fuel being sprayed in.

To reply to the highlighed part. I have done something very similar to what you see in that vid. Big injectors, low timing, 2 pumps, and that can happen on the shift.

A general note here fellows. Turbos are all about compromise. What can you live with to get what you want. There is no magic Silver Bullet.(bad pun:rofl:) That being said I am getting tired of all the mod turbo bickering. It is not doing anyone any good. Have some failed? Sure have. Have some run hard? Sure have. No different than old school turbos. What some swear by others swear at. Nature of performance. However I will not tolerated swearing at each in this thread. If you come to that point you have come to the point where you need to move on.;)

times seem pretty right on with the hp dan. you must just have the fastes 650 hp truck in the world :D. what did he run 11.55 at 117mph. truck weighed 6600lbs. so if you type those numbers into the et calc. which is just a appoximate time i know, and assumes that everything on the run was perfect it would run a 11.23 at 119. that is a perfect run. know i would have to say that it probably wasnt a perfect run. as very few are actually perfect i dont care who you are. so i would say it is about right. i dont understand why this is so hard for you to accept :dontknow:.

And I think we could have matched those numbers had we not had 20'' wheels on there. Don't quote me but doesn't every 10lbs of unsprung weight add approx .01 to your time.

It back fired because of a long pulsewidth and low timing with the bigger injectors. It would give me that "welp there it went" feeling everytime it would shift into 5th.

And Brayden has the dyno sheets at the shop so he wil have to post the weather conditions and correction factor.

I think some people lost the fact it was more about the stock bottom end lbz held together without issue than the turbo with it's past use and then the drag strip. Atleast thats how I took it.
