F×ck that BS. People better start standing up for their rights! Just wait until next Flu season. Some power-hungry piece of shitt is going to start thinking how many lives we can save with a shut down for that.

Agreed. My thoughts when I read that were, "How is she going to enforce that without mobilizing the Natl Guard?" But its the mere thought that it could somehow be enforced that has me very concerned. What's also frightening are how many people are all for it.

Older folks and others at risk should also stay home. Those of us who are working with no health issues keep working, but honor the 6ft rules and if we do get sick, stay at home.
Shutting everything down like this is going to make for even larger economic problems down the road.
Also, I had a customer concerned with touching her packages b/c "covid lives on cardboard". I said, "That may be so, but if it was as big a problem as that, dont you think there'd be widespread sickness going thru UPS, FedEx and the Post Office right now?"
You know what really frightening is not only how many people will go along, but how many people want you arrested for violating this shit. Then the POS judges are releasing inmates in jail out if fear they might get sick. I see post daily from someone complaining about kids on a play ground etc. A lot of comments fallow whose post are telling them to call the cops. I tell those POS to mind their damn business.

My wife and I run the food pantry for our church, once things began to shut down, our pastor asked us to make an emergency run to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, to make sure the pantry would be fully stocked.
Obviously we agreed. So we make the appointment , wife places the order online, 2,700# of food. Pretty standard sized order for us. Nothing out of the ordinary, FBEM informs us no one will be allowed in the building, so no reclamation food is available.
We show up at FBEM, there is a soldier, wearing BDUs driving the fork truck. No sign of any of the usual personal that we normally deal with. I'm like okay, that's fine. Soldier brings out two pallets of food, slides them in the my truck. (I'm always nervous with a new fork truck operator loading my truck) but he did fine.
I have my wife pull the Duramax out of the loading bay, I tell the soldier I'll back my plow rig in for the rest of the food, he says "no, you're all set, that's all of it." I replied that it looked lite, but he insisted. I tried to push the issue, he politely explained my appointment had expired and I needed to exit the loading bay.
He wasn't a dick about it, but he made it clear he was done with me, went back inside and closed the door.
So away we go. We get to the church, unload and inventory, sure enough we were short. Tried to call FBEM, no answer, so i drive back over there, same soldier comes out, I explain the situation and show him the inventory we did when we unloaded. He goes and gets a couple folks we do recognize, they investigate, sure enough, one full pallet of our stuff was still there.
Long story, but the guard is deployed, I'm not sure to what extent, but I've interacted with at least one of them. Nice kid, trying to do a job, but he was out of his element.
Well I'm officially starting a new trend for the 2020's... :hello:

Unfortunately it happens. Guy only knows one thing. What he did not know and was probably not written anywhere is the fact that there were 3 pallets Be glad you got the first 2 with no issue. Sucks that yo had to make a second trip to get what should have been done the first time.

Panic buying data shows some interesting trends, and how we all share certain priorities. I witnessed week one run on hand sanitizer first hand in Florida, and then week two run on TP in Ohio.
Luckily I was able to pick up a my handy dandy cellular telephone communicator and make a call to my wife in Ohio soon as I saw the shelf runs starting in Florida. By the time I got back up north, she had beat the rush by a half week or more here. Then last week she had to run out and buy hair coloring..

Well it has been raining for the last 5-days in So. Cal. Woke up to beautiful blue clear skies and decided to wash both vehicles. Then the wife and I headed out to Lowe's to buy some new rose bushes for the garden. Everyone had gloves and masks on there. Can't really tell if people are smiling at you or not. Weird, but otherwise a great day. Now time for some adult beverages that everything is done. Be safe everyone.
