How do you go about getting it certified?

you have to get in contact with your local NHRA tech inspector. they have a list on their site of people who do it. ALOT of whats needed in the cage is up to their discretion and the tubing will be ultrasound to make sure wall thickness is not below what is needed. Do not paint the cage prior to taking it down or having them come over to inspect. if the wall thickness is below spec, they will deny certing it and you will be making a new cage. make friends with the tech, it will do ya good :D

I didn't get my 6 point bar certified (too slow) but all he asked me was who did my bar and I told him and sent me on my way. The guy is the best cage builder in the state, but just very slow with the amount of work he takes on, with his additional day job as well.

Well got a lot of work done to the truck and finally drive it around the block last weekend. Have 40 miles on everything. Threw on a fiberglass lightweight hood, and as it sits with full fuel and me in it, the truck is 3760lbs.

Haha I'm not putting the cart before the horse but I am getting excited. This engine spools this SXE88mm with ease, it's almost a perfect match. Plan is to hit the track on the 2nd of December.
