Well, had a hell of a run with the truck, but unfortunately had a serious mechanical failure which resulted in detonating and blew a hole in the driver side head at 1000 feet and lost all the coolant. Went slip and slidin but got it stopped at the end of the track.

Driver side head is a total loss, block may be junk as well. As long as the crankshaft and rods are ok I'm gunna rebuild it and start over. Pistons will be replaced.

It's best pass to date is 10.12 at 135mph, and beat trap was 10.33 at 140mph.

For loosing an engine I'm still in a good mood considering how well it ran for an unproven setup and not knowing how to drive a 2wd truck. Best 60 was 1.60.

What was your 1/8 mile on the pass it broke?

Yeah it was truckin. I'm still so shocked on how fast it went on 10lbs if boost. The next engine for it is going to be a 427.

New engine is back together and back in the truck.

New setup is a Dart SHP aluminium block based off a LS2, LSA cylinder heads. Reused the same camshaft, rods and crank. 416CI with forged pistons. Sold the little 80lb injectors, upgraded to 160's. To control intake temps better we ditched the air to air intercooler and will run a air to water setup. Turbo remains the same, SXE88mm. I also bought fiberglass doors to offset the added weight of the new intercooler. Along with the lighter block I hope to have this truck sub 3500lbs.

Yeah it kinda was a little over the top but atleast it will be a more reliable setup with a lot more boost control this time. I'll get a couple pics loaded up when the water to air is done being built, it's all torn apart again

Got the water to air all finished this weekend, got the water lines plumbed and working. This made the truck look so much more serious, I wish I did this with my LB7.
