So you won't SEE the rat's nest. That doesn't mean it isn't there! :roflmao:

Wiring for the engine is 90% complete. I went a little nuts with the Harness and junk I removed so it's taken a bit more time. Planning on end of next weekend. Currently waiting on all my auto meter gauges before startup.

You won't see a rats nest rest assured!! The ecm is behind the dash and main harness goes through where the heater core passed through the cab lol

A rats nest only makes up 10% of the rat hole so you're hiding 10% under the dash....:D

Progress. Used factory cluster and installed the OG auto meter phantoms in place of it. Came out awesome I think. Still uses the factory cluster master connector if I need to remove the cluster. Nice and clean. So used the dactory O2 quick connect for the "Harness" for the A pillar pod, again, for ease of removing if that time comes. The switches in the hvac controls are for the fans for engine, Trans and fuel cooler.

well, after 14 months the truck came alive this morning. sputtering and all, but I'll take it. This truck kicked my a$$ in wiring and the conversion from v6 to v8 and electric throttle to cable, well worth it though. needs a solid tune but made a lot of progress on it. I deleted the BCM, and 95% of the factory wiring, along with the cluster, so I could understand why the ECM was pretty pissed. AFR at idle was a very rich, 8.5:1 haha.

Been a very slow process, but fun nonetheless.

Bought some front runners, weld 17x4.5 come in at 9lbs and 28" radials from M&H, wheel and tore is 20lbs. 5 lug conversion and coilovers are next.

Been a LONG road, but seemed very worth it when I heard a 400CI LS engine fire up for the first time in 15 months through a 88mm charger...

Got all the wiring done, and back to the house, and dropped it off for a 10 point, 8.50 cert roll cage, Kirkey road race seat and crow 5 point harness.

Transmission is at the house (finally) and ready to go in, driveshaft is here and ford 9" is in the box waiting for the truck to come back.

slowly but surely. This has been a huge learning curve for me (spark plug gap WTF) and work has had me out of town the past 5 months, but it is what it is.

Fastest turbo LS truck in the state has ran 10.80's...

So you're saying you're shooting for 10.70's:D

You'll have a fun in that. Diesels are fun, but the sound of a 13:1 BBC or a 400ci turbo lighting up always makes me smile.... This thread makes me want to dig my motor out of storage and stuff it in something and go play

Early 2017 will be a good beginning for the race truck, between out of town work, and pure laziness, the truck is coming along slow.

Transmission is in, driveline is installed and it runs under it's own power.

Dropped the truck off on Thursday for the roll cage, race seat, and Precision air shifter for the trans. Cant wait to take it to the track, but also not in a big hurry.

Been a long 8 months. Between some setbacks here and there, this is the longest ive owned a truck without driving it.

Funny car cage is in and fully welded, dash bar is in, back supports, just needs the X bars on the doors and were done.

Rear built axle is in, 3.42 gears are in, drag pack is waiting, parachute brackets are in. Work has been busy and I don't turn down weekend work, and general life has gotten in the way.

Plan is to have the truck at Street Car Takeover October 20th here in Phoenix.
