I remember those days when you bragged about how manuals were "cheaper"
Yeah, I guess I never thought I'd be in a spot where I needed a built manual lol. "Build manual" doesn't have that build auto ring to it either lol
So you're spending the same money to build your ZF that we would to build an Allison? Sounds about normal to me.

Yes it does, and I think I could do 10s on a stock trans for sure but this will be more consistent stronger and hopefully last longer than the stock synchros. Just fun to try new things, I just love the build it's just so different and I never know exactly what to expect when I do a new mod or setup. When we did the 75 and hundred overs I never thought I'd be so close to 10s. Unfortunately as strong as the stock engine is I will keep increasing power until something happens. We will push this setup as far as possible.
And after that my clutch pedal fell off lol. Canabalized the race truck til I can get to the dealer. Long pedaless drive home

Still going for tens just won't be first. It's really a good thing, I've been tired of manuals being over looked in the drag racing scene and now they are getting a hard second look. Still gonna go and hit my tens and have fun which is what it has always been about with me. Just gkad he did it in another dmax.
Dude, you and Ryan are my heroes! You two have pushed each other to do things everyone else said couldn’t be done and now look where we are because of it!!! Now the goal is 10.5’s!!! I’m proud of the hard work the two of you have put in to this project and will be here for you guys always with whatever I can assist you with!
Thanks Mark I still can't believe 16 passes later the engine on mine is still as happy as can be. I've been messaging Ryan on facebook already, with radials he's still a 1.8 60. He has a sub 10.5 in his already I think which is awesome for only putting up 876 in the dyno. I still think it's hilarious he beat me and pushed into 10s with yet another regular cab lly zf6. We will see how close to Ryan my stock engine can get because I don't plan on stopping anytime soon:thumb:
Lol, it’s like I have a special place in my heart for the Lly’s! My fastest customer is Brett’s Lly running 8.3’s, The two fastest ZF6 trucks are lly’s of mine, Steve Trojano has the fastest Vgt twins fuel only ccsb lly also iirc. Starting to wonder why I have an lbz...?:hug:

It's crazy honestly how good these things do when you beat on them this hard. I can't wait to get my trans back and try to join ryan in the 10s
You guys have been pushing back an forth to hit that benchmark, but I want to see you do it on a stock block! I know you'll get it! Good things come in time.
I know I can shave 2 tenths and the engine still be happy, but beating a 10.6 I'm not sure lol. 10.5 would take the manual trans record back and the stock engine record
