I'm no welder, but I'd want to hide those welds under a blanket too.:thumb:

that is the best you can do, Your no wielder is right , the guy that wielded that pan is one of the best wielders on earth . He wields for Rehr Morrison , and has for the last 30 years While they amassed quite a few World Championships in Pro Stock

its the light of the camera they brings out shadows that look

Last time I checked there wasn't an "I" in weld.

That's a pretty bold statement, one of the best welders according to you?

question is why do the two or three of you care so much . I am posting to let people see what can be done when a Comp racer get ahold of a diesel.

funny I am getting a lot of PM's from people they are appalled at the ankle bitter like attacks in this thread.
From what I've seen, when a Comp racer gets ahold of a diesel, it sits in a shop or trailer, not running, for 3+ years. Why don't you get back with us when it actually does something. I'll be the first in line to congratulate you on finishing it and making some passes.

this car has been on hold because I had to work on other racing projects. I drug this car 2000 miles round trip because I committed to be there, we just ran out of time to make it run safely. We were there and anyone that saw the car in person knew it was a good weeks worth of work to run.
I have been to the track before in diesel and set records , I will once again .

What my problem is the few that continue to bash because I took a few years. forget how long it took, and know that the fastest diesel on the planet will soon be a Duramax.

the problem i have with this statement and the fact you have ~30 years or better experience.. is this

where was the jackstand test BEFORE you spent couple grand in traveling expenses, 4-5 days round trip on a maybe? maybe you got plenty of money to blow on a 3-4k IF?!? IDK you dont move like you do.. for as much experience as you "say" you have.. you didnt leave without even making sure it RUNS correctly is a pretty beginer action!

sponsers dry up when there is no fruit of said endorsments.

rail looks nice though

:jerkit: Does anyone really give a shit about what sponsors and funding you get??

A couple days ago you were asking to have your account deleted.

Why don't you just let your rail do the talking for you.

x2

I had a big long reply and i'm just not even going to go there. GREG JUST BRING IT!

there it is..............from the guy that completed, tested and is running his rail in waaaaaay less time than you've taken to get yours just running

when it runs you will see it at the track, I have so much time to work on the car , just like the last few , its me myself and I , most of the time.

I have proven myself in the last 8 years in diesel , and will be back on top again very soon.

as of now its my money and parts from sponsors, The funding is to go and put diesel in front of the mainstream public.

there it is again.....

has been is a has been.... you got a badass looking rail now, no one gives a rats ass about the claimed past.

Go run it, guarantee you'll have a lot of people on here and every other site you inhabit throwing up "congrats" and "attaboys" if the rail does anywhere near what you say it does.

It's not just two or three people that care so much. Their are many that have the same thoughts, myself included. A lot of them just don't say anything about it.

Greg,

You have the longest sig on this site that I know of, longer than any of the racers or sponsors.

You come off as a Timeshare Condo salesman on this site.

If you were helping folk with problems, or asking for input on your problems, it might be different, but from where I see, you are only a little different than the Russian spammers selling iPads that we delete.

Act like more of a human, and less like a spambot, and you'd probably catch less heat. This is "family", and it's our corner bar, and a group of guys with grease all over them leaning over fenders of somebodies truck that ain't making the right boost.

It's also one of few sites with more hardcore wrenches and racers than wannabees.

You're welcome to be a member here, and post about your build, but don't expect people to shower you with roses yet. That comes with seat time on the site, and on the track.

Self-aggrandizing behavior, thats all this is.

I am curious what exactly Mr Hogue has done to further Duramax performance over the years anyway? I may be a total nobody in this game, but I cant think of one single part or procedure he's developed on his own that's helped the community. Not one. He just helps himself.
Why sponsors flock to people like this is beyond me. They should be falling all over themselves to back Jeff, Rob, Verlon and the host of other guys who go out every week to race and prove themselves and their builds.

This is what he has done.:roflmao: This was January of 2010.

Here is one of the recent motivational speaking events. This school is near the Naval Air station and most of the kids are military dependents, one of the reasons I have always make an effort to attend for the last 11 years .

Notice the paper towels and bottle of spray wax. This is part of my speech. It is in short about that if you want something in life, you have to be willing to work for it, even if it is at a entry level job, because that is sometimes the only way to get to the top.

I go on to explain that even in the seemly glamour’s world of racing there are jobs that might seem unimportant and not as fun to do, like wiping the car down, to keep it looking shinny.

I then go on to explain that my first task to do around a race car was just that , to wipe the car down , and that even if it seemed lowly , it was very important in that this shinny car was seen on TV and in front of the crowds. I also explained that a job like that could lead to the top job if they just pursued their dreams and put in a little work.

Then I let the kids grab a rag and some wax , They never forget a little hands on.

and it was a little dirty after coming back from a test session

I wonder if tricking the kids into waxing the dragster violated any child labor laws?

So true running a diesel is not cheap we all know that, but I haven't seen 1 person here yet comment that would be jealous, I personally don't give a rats ass how much or how little money a guy has makes or gets given . We just want to see it run, so far this looks like your looking for more sponsors.

So true I have the greatest respect for Jeff and guys like him,he went to work on making his own rail without sponsors and happen to pick 1 up along the way.He has done far more with a lot less and when he races we here from members on this site before we ever hear anything from Jeff all he does is make a comment after someone else started a thread about his runs.

That's very nice of you Greg. And I mean that. :thumb:

All Americans should do something to help humanity on a routine basis.

But what I'm referring to is you bitching that folk here pick on you. And I told you the reason.

You can ignore my effort to help you, or you can benefit from it. Your choice. You are welcome here either way.

I bought some parts for dmax performance way back in the beginning . at the time they were decent parts. didn't take long to get past the level that the parts were designed for. always helped me whenever I asked.
