Well im sure this dont help much but checked my balance rates for sh**s and giggles. Mine are all -+.5 or lower. injectors are Bosch new remans with DDP 45% overs swapped on to them. thats with 70 miles on the motor and didnt do any injector relearn (dunno if LB7s can even do that though).

Anybody have a calibration number from a Lbz stick handy? Gonna have the nima codes reprogrammed all the same. I don't want to mess with sticking my head down there looking for something that I really don't know what numbers to get. (Actually the number/code may only come on the injector box itself, and not the injector?) Last I checked number 5 has gone up to 9. I need to find an adapter or have one made to fit my HF compression tester. I hope I have good compression in that cylinder. If I do and the nima codes don't fix it I will be sending the number 5 stick back to exergy.

You should be able to read the current numbers with a Tech2

With a scan tool installed, enter the vehicle information and select the following options:

• Special Functions

• Fuel System

• Injector Flow Rate Programming

• Display ECM & GPCM Inj. Flow Rates

Record all flow rate numbers with the corresponding cylinders from the control modules.

Thanks, I was told by the diesel tech at my dealer that I need to find the code on the individual injector boxes.

Only 06+ trucks will have the injector flow rates programmed into the ECM.

That is correct if you are using stock bosch injectors. Yours are modified and you need to make all 8 of the values in the GPCM the same number.

The injector programming is for "trimming" the injectors for each ones flow to give you very balanced fuel delivery per cylinder.

Make sense?

Yeah I think so. What I gather is I can have them program any number they feel in it and asking as there all the same it should balance them all good. Also gonna grind the nut off my harbor freight compression fitting and reweld a nut on the very back. That should let me check the compression in atleast the right bank. I feel like all I need to do is get these programmed and all will be good. Just need to get time and get off my lazy ass

you need to do this...

You might have to relearn the new injectors with a Tech2. From the factory every injector has his own calibration number (written on the plastic part) these numbers are programmed into the ecm, so the ecm knows all 8 flow rates. Now after the injector modification the numbers on the injector dont match the actual flow of the injectors anymore. Exergy told me if you see bad balance rates after putting their overs in, just re-programm the injectors using only one number and the same number for all 8, and it should be better.

Did you ever get this figured out? I bought a new set of 200 over LBZ's and my balance rates are a lot like yours. The truck runs like crap and I have 3/4 of a gallon of diesel fuel in my crank case. I had 120 over LMM's in it before and it ran like a top. I did a compression test and it wasn't perfect but not horrible either. I'm wondering now if the tech2 will help solve my problem or not with the new codes. I'm driving down to All Seasons monday morning to see if he can figure it out but I's like to see what other think. Even my Etrude hones 60 overs I got a few years ago had good balance rates on start up.

JD, I think I read somewhere that with the difference in the LBZ vs LMM tips your 200 over LBZ's are 200+ on your LMM injectors. Just in case your calibrations are off for the new tune
