Once you're up and rolling, it should light super easily, being the 87mm tw and the tightest housing available. No matter the converter you run. I'd say your tuning needs serious adjustment using MAF limiters beccause it must be overfueling and choking/stalling any turbine wheel momentum out with too much fuel. Its normally an area that needs a decent amount of tweeking on a serious setup, let alone with 400% overs.

Holy balls man that thing gets it. Definitely look into the maf adjustments.

Kory had to adjust my MAF like crazy on my old 366 setup. Granted stock fuel but it basically went into a fuel limp mode and I was 2krpm limited. He made like 10 adjustments before it like it but it helped it spoil so much better. Took 8-10 secs to get it to 2300 and start pushing through the brakes...after it was down 4-6 sec and less smokey

But bad ass setup and I agree that thing sounds mean

Making the power is the easy part; getting it to run clean, spool quickly, and drive sensibly is the hard part. That is an awfully small turbo, especially turbine side, to be having this problem.

I know what you mean. You can have all the fuel you can handle and it won't spool. It's the big explosions that need to happened at the correct a/f ratio to make the gasses expand to light the charger. It's not as bad as when I first started driving it. I'll admit I had to learn how to drive it again vs the stock motor and Vgt. I'm starting to like it. Tranny tuning is a must with this setup though

Ive got it running pretty good now, pretty much have to use rpm but yeah its not going to spool without some rpm but like you said it will come on quick once its up and rolling. I roll up to 10 psi in 3rd using the tap shifter and stab it and flick into 4th at the same time so it shifts (fleece tap shifter has a delay) and then damn its on.
