Or does anyone know the size of the ball in the trans go kit? I'm sure caterpillar would have one

Swear by it? I've got a valve with the one end hollowed out, a spring and round spacer if you will with the hole drilled in it but no ball so trying to figure out if I can/how to mod the valve and exactly what valve it is

all you need is the longer spring for the transgo valve mod,i got 1 from marc but came late so ended up welding and grinding the stock one.either way should do the same thing.Where's the ball?

Sounds like your transmission was setup for no pressure drop on lockup when it was built.

Talked to transgo. There spring is 1.560 long and a 3/8 ball is .375 so in either need a spring that is 1.935 or 1 15/16" or use the ball and grind a very small, maybe quarter inch flat on the end land?

Unless you are making big time horsepower just leave the end alone and put one of the springs and ball in it and be done. Some guys don't even use the transgo valve at all and run the factory valve stock. Anything other than stock setup can make for a harsh converter apply.

Well I found a ball. Measures .373 I think the .002 off will be ok. I'll get a part number for you guys this evening

Well today I will be doing a 1st. Going to be modding the transgo valve. I figure it has the small hole so I'll put a 1/4 flat on it vs the 1/2 flat like on a stock valve. Pics after I do it

so I figured I'd go 1/4 flat vs the 1/2 flat like the stocker. I'll be the guinea pig for this

Out of curiosity, does the LML still have pressure knockdown during the TC apply? - Would this be a beneficial mod? - or does it do away with this since it controls pressure electronically?

Thanks, Mike! I always appreciate it!

I'm ordering a 15' in a few weeks and want to get my ducks in a row! I'm going to build the transmission first, then later on down the road achieve 650-700RWHP. With that said, I'd love to give you a call during that time and get your input and light guidance on the matter? As much as I'd like to task you with building it. I would get much more enjoyment out of tackling in myself! That is, if you're willing to sell or recommend parts and the possibility of a quick question or two during the build. - Which I understand time is money, so I'd "donate" for your time.
