you can also (If on windows) go into command prompt and type "dxdiag" if you dont want to install anything.
If you are running windows just do a search for "CMD" if you can't find it.
That works too.
Go to - Run, then type dxdiag
I must be missing something. How will this list the slot version number? Also, during a video card upgrade, depending on the windows version, a directx upgrade may be in order.
Do you still like this processor Pat? I sure need to update, just barely making the due date on the smp jobs. No bonus points at all.
I've looked around and it looks like running a 2.0 card on a 1.x board shouldn't hurt performance significantly. The mobo does have a PCIe x16 so it looks like i should be good to go.

Well...I must have one dumb laptop! It's been working for the last 4 days and I'm still at 11 complete.
Also I guess I'm a dumb as my laptop...I've been trying to get that new folding link for the sigs to work and I can't. I keep getting one from another team, and yes I did change the number to 195247.
When I get back home tomorrow I want to make my desktop the folding computer. Will what I have completed transfer over to that computer?

Price for X6 is almost twice what a 4-core X4 is of the same clockspeed, yet is less than 1/3 faster. But as far as CPU's go, it's still pretty cheap. When I get some time, I'll overclock some more to find out it's true potential.
Keep in mind that few games or other apps will benefit from more than 2 cores.

Scrolling over it I can tell you what you did already......it has the u= function, which is the username function.
So it looked up the username and not the team name. Change the u= to t=
That kinda stinks. Maybe more apps will benefit in the future. Thanks though, time to do some ordering.
Verify that the motherboard supports X6. Most all new ones do, others require you to update the bios, others have no support.
