Why does it have to come out? Grab the balancer and shake it.
It would do about 340 degrees in both directions but has a lock up spot, we pulled glow plugs and scooped all cylinders, no visible damage.
I believe the motor will only turn over by hand and then lock in both directions according to his first post.
Even if it isnt that bad of a break either. My bakancer wobbled like a sob.
Most of the time you can move the balancer up and down by hand if it is broken.
