plug the trans ratios into the rpm calculator on here and see if any axle ratios that are available for our axles will work out for the top end?
With a 342 gears and 5 speed it looks like 137mph....I would like to be able to hit 150mph. Now using a OD i can do this with a 4 speed and tagging 5k a 3 speed
I have no problom with 5k but with this cam i will loose power after 4200
I can get a bruno/lenco used for around 7k with the correct shafts there are lots of them used on racingjunk and pro mod forums
I would like to do this project for under 15g to make it worth while swap then sell my trans to recoup some cash
Well I just bought a used Bruno lenco 3 speed:happy2: As far as the gearing i should be shifting at 4100 and dropping to 2800 This may not work well but i can always add a case from Lenco 2.11 first gear

Also scrapped the idea of using gear vendors for a OD and now considering using a drop box that is overdriven probably what duramax 3388 was getting at but i never looked into until Jeff said they have OD units......Kill 2 birds with one light rock
Running numbers in my head this can be done for less than 11000 so if I can sell my trans and Tcase i might be able to recoup some cash...hopefully
