Donovan from aromor inc runs a Bruno lenco and it very consistant

who the heck wants a dodge transcinour truck anyways lol

That truck is very nice. I chatted with Lenny for a minute about the trans. I like the fact that it's C02. Very consistent and hard/fast shifts. Donovan wanted a low maintanence 10 second truck, that's what he got.

I'm sure Lenny at DDP would give you some good info or a place to start looking.

Call Lenco direct and talk to them. They are very aggressive about developing new market areas. ;)

Awesome Simon :coolspot: aside from anything else already discussed most forget about the weight savings , if i were a betting man i would say with a racing trans / t-case and a little glass on the front end a sub 4800-4900 lb 4wd pro street truck is possible ;) 8 second passes would be wicked cool :D better order a parachute too

We don't know what happened to the trans in Abby last weekend, I haven't had the time to get back in it. Either way that trans will make another pass this year yet. Just been tossing around the idea. Our biggest competition up here in P/Street has been running one this year and loves it. Abby has always seemed to be a test truck for stuff... So why not keep the trend going...

Be really neat to get it done! In your case as it's a purpose built race truck I can see going a different route to bring the truck to it's potential. No sense running stuff that holds you back. The durafilte in my opinion is a good choice if you still do alot of street driving and want every last little bit out of it at extreme power levels. No matter what nothing is going to be cheap, either breaking a trans or the cost of doing something that works, holds the power, and allows you to go faster and quicker. Maintenance on anything purpose built for racing just comes with the teritory. Good luck in getting the setup done. Once it's done I'm sure it will be money well spent.

I agree with you Simon, that would be the best approach.:thumb: Hope you can do it cuz there are a bunch of us that will be watching. Can't you mate it with a stock T-case. I'm totally amazed as to the abuse that they will take.

What are the benefits from running Bruno/Lenco vs a LencoDrive?

The Bruno convertor drive is "supposed" to be able to handle more TQ/HP/abuse than the Lenco drive...IIRC, that's what a friend was told after speaking to Lenco about this type of application...

Does the NHRA have any limitations regarding 4WD?

How big of a rear tire can you fit on the truck?...I'm thinking 2WD, big tire & trans brake...

NHRA probably never thought of it:D

It will have a c02 actuated trans brake Chris

Ive seen huge tires and guys using the lenco on diesels and they still have some traction issues

It wouldnt be hard to switch over to a 2wd But thats not what im wanting at this point

I was told that are T-Cases are actually very strong there are a few aftermarket chains and other parts that i might need to beef it up a little but i wont know untill i break them.

Why wouldn't u just put on a chain drive Instead of a t case. The mud trucks down here that are 4 wheel drive with blown hemis are running lenco's with a chain drive and they never have a problem.

Are the chains in some sort of case? I've never seen one. The stockers are really tough, how many have you ever seen broken on a drag strip? The first time I ever drove Max'd Out I way over boosted it on the launch (50+) and did a 4x4 burn out that would have made John Force proud. Had them all spinning enough to go completely through the gears and then down shift when it finally hooked. T-case took it fine, not so much the front differential. Started the ring gear on it's way out, lasted another 3 passes until we noticed a hole in the case.:D
