Congrats Trent! That mph is exceptional! From the tone of Jess's post, I think you've got their attention. Make room, 9 second guys...you've got a new member.

What was your "reaction" time on the redlight? Could it be that track factors the 60ft along with the reaction time relative to the actual green? I know thats not "normal"...just me thinking of odd possibilities again. Im just figuring if you left .2-3 ahead of the light, it may subtract that from the 60?
I highly doubt you smoked any lights out, either. They arent suspended 10 feet in the air, so shouldnt be affected.

Too bad on the video.

Congrats Trent! :thumb:

Too bad we couldn't get any in-cab video of your competitors to see their shock and awe as you spanked them down the track. :D

i think you have reason to be excited. you made some good runs and made big mph. however i dont think the ets are anywere even close.the 60ft messes with the whole rest of the run.what is a normal 60 ft for you?i mean a .98 is pro mod range. so take your average 60 fts and see the diff between them and the .98 add the diff to your 8th time and then adjust accordingly.

Jess i have clue on how all this works , and i appreciate your PM , than you , IMOP after thinking about this all night , the only thing i can see changing from red light is it would be just like shallow staging by an extra foot , so it would be a 58 ft instead of 60 , i dont really think it made the pass that much faster than it really was but i will not claim the pass until i back it up, i was one of the first to discredit its validity due to not knowing how it could effect the pass , .

Thats i what i was hoping some one could do :D , to set the record straight depending on logic of a few people i have talked to, it could be from 10.0 to 9.388 depending on how it can affect things , even if it was a 1.6 60 it would still be a 9.98.

Problem with that it getting it down to the exact right time. I would bet money it was atleast a 9.50 pass. Like I said before I would think the way that truck is setup that 1.20-1.30 60ft's wouldn't be a problem and could even be quicker. This is my opinion though lol.

Well shit, that sucks. I don't believe the smoked lights theory either, but no way that 60 is even close. Really can't tell from the video how quick the pass is. Do I believe it's a 9.38+ no, do I believe it's in the 9's probably but hard to say how far into the 9's. The MPH is certainly there for that fast a pass, there is no doubt about that. Looks to me like it pulled through the brakes and tripped the beam.

I don't think it works linier Trent, If you took the .98 and subtracted it from a 1.6 60' you get .62. Add that to your 1/8 mile time of 5.924 and you have a 6.54 1/8 mile which equates to a 10.32 1/4 mile. At least if you use this calculator.

http://www.hotrodpitstop.com/tools.html#3

your 1/8 mile would have to be about 6.3 to be in the 9's that working back that working back makes a 60' in the 1.56 range if I figured that right, and that is certainly doable. I'd think a 1.35 to 1.40 60' is very doable with your truck. On our 9.71 pass the 60 was 1.45 I believe.
