Well not much done since I got it. Degreased the engine/trans/tcase to pin point a couple little leaks.

Been playing with tuning once the very few drives into work. Needed to get the lbz regs dailed in, those are straight now. Added a bunch of timing in cruise area. Flattened our rail pressure in cruise area and had to reduce pulse there too. She’d hunt up and down in mm3 to hold speed on flat ground. Then limited cruising mm3 so it’s not so light switchy.

Next up is tires. Tracker is almost ready to come off the lift and then this goes on for tires. Going to go with the 37x13.50r17 Toyo M/T’s again. I just love the way they look way too much to change. Then I’ll do a full check up on the old girl.

Funny enough, we are racing the Cali 300 beginning of Oct and I’m going to tow the toyhauler out to Barstow with the limo. Then I have an elk hunt beginning of Dec in New Mexico and I’ll be using her to haul the toyhauler again.

I thought the point of the 2020 was to retire the old girl from hauling heavy? Oy….

This should be fun with all the changes that have been made. Curious to see how the cooling and oil temps run.

If I may ask, what did you set your clearances at for mains and rods?

I’d have to go back to my note book. I want to say rods are around .002 and mains are .0025-.003.

Going to be kinda starting from scratch. External oil cooler is gone, aux rad is gone and fuel cooler fan ain’t working. Still have the Ron Davis dual pass rad and 2020 oil cooler. Anthony put low temp thermostats in it too. I’m going to do a lot of playing with tuning first before adding coolers. I’m wondering if timing is just too high and causing excess heat or something else.

I need a roadrunner ecm . Sucks LLY never got one

It really sucks that they went out of business... can't even get one any more.

But I believe I know some one that may still have one from a Gas truck. They were never stable on the 03-up 1MB PCM's. Thats why they stopped offering them for that application.

Eh wouldn’t do me any good. There isn’t enough free space on the lly chip to make it work anyhow. I’m also not converting back to lb7 lol. She’s just going to be a mutt and Jason’s/Ken’s ficm will make sure it keeps running

Really? I have a RoadRunner module I swap between LB7 and 512k and 1MB LS1B PCMs and it's slick. Never had any issues with stability and I've tuned 3 or 4 2003-2005 LS swaps using it.

I do wish I could get a 2nd one, and was sad to see them go out of business.

So these showed up today. My boy wanted to see if he could fit in them lol. Swapped them all on tonight and gave the wheels a quick polish. Then re-set the toe (she was toed out an inch!), checked upper ball joints, greased the traction bars and I’ll check fluids tomorrow. Hauling the tracker to Parker this weekend to do shock testing on the race car and test out the tracker. No pics but I’ll get some by end of the week.

I will be sad the day they go away. I feel like it’s sooner than later. Pretty sure this tread has been around for 15-20 years now lol

Well we were going to Parker but shock tuner had to cancel and him not going kinda defeated the purpose of going. So all loaded up to go no where.

Might go to 05LLYDMAX place tomorrow as he’s going to do some testing with the car by his place. I’ll play with the tracker there
