Yeah I was thinking a high psi leak that squirts oil onto the road perfectly at WOT.

With James luck its possible.

Wouldnt even really take WOT to do it given the oil pressure these things run. 40-50 psi could do it. BUT, there'd be some evidence somewhere on the motor, and James says there isnt any.

you dont even leak out of the pcv?

Na i mean seriously, ya'll could eat off this damn thing. Pvc has nothing more than it ever had stock, but you know what, i never check to see if its plugged or anything. Hmmmm

That could pressurize the system and probably explain things.

Boy, Im not sure. Take the hoses off the valvecovers and blow air thru them, see if you get anything thru the drain?

Its a non-serviceable system, so Im not sure if you can take that little cover off the valve and clean it out.

If the PCV is plugged it normally makes one of the main seal leak... It can also cause the seals to leak on the turbo. I would check it but I doubt this is the problem. I haven't read the whole thread. Have you checked both turbo's to make sure one is not leaking oil into the turbine side? Oil analysis could help as well, soot, dirt, and fuel in the oil could show possible bad rings...

Me too. Im just not understanding how it could be in the heads. I dont care if i wrong, i just am not getting a grasp of how it could be unless they cracked.

All i can figure is when the valves were pulled to mill the head flat, thats what did what little sealing was left, in. But tht would havw to be damn near all of them concidering its using that much oil

Hey wise guy :)D JK)

Did you switch back to conventional oil 15w 40 and see if your oil consumption changed? I would at least do that before I tore it apart again. IMO at that rate of consumption you have to see it coming out the tailpipe, at night do you see a blue haze in the headlights behind you? I do hope your lucky and it's just the valve seals / bad guides causing oil seepage. How many miles on the motor (heads) before rebuild ?

:D :hello:

Not yet, gunna do that this week as well. immediate tear down cant happen right now any how. im modding the garage to fit the truck in it and i have to be able to move it from the side yard so i can get my pool filled over the month. I see no haze accept when first started in the cold and i give it a bit more than 1/4 throttle leaving my corner. as soon as its starts warming up you see nothing.

so is the 380psi i saw on my compression test too low still? pistons are shaved .010 and delipped on grade c gaskets

mileage is 160k on the heads
