That could be taken so wrong on so many levelsyou could send it to ben to stick up his.......just kidding ben:hug:
Broke another crank. Lly in a lbz build. Broke at rod 1/snout. Dilipped lb7 piston also shattered the skirt off(rod one)Carrillo rod still had pin in it but skirt, clips, and oil ring are all in the oilpan. Haven't pulled heads to see if cracked. 40k miles of hard street. 10k were pulling 9-11k lbs. snapped 800miles from home pulling tow hauler. Sounded like piston slap at first. But really don't know what let go first.
475/lbz vvt, dual stock cp3, 60%, 2800us ect. Ccsb, 6" lift, 325 on 18's.
LLY as in 04-05 LLY or 06 LLY?
sorry to hear.
Real lly, 04.5. Was a 04.5 block, crank, cam. All keyed. Main studs. The original 06 "lly" shortblock got tossed when the crank pin sheard.
Now running a completely stock 07 longblock. Running 2600us,27*, but much more conservative down low. Just something to keep me going while another motor gets built. Hoping my Carrillos are still fine.
If one rod is finished, what are my options?

You can't do that without a different crank.there was crank talk in of season pulling mods so it made me think of this thread
the changed firing order cams out witch cylinders do the change?
because i was doing some figuring and i think that changing cylinders 3 and 8 would give us the 15426378 ford v8 firing order. remembering of course that ford orders the cylinders different
