i cant think of it off the top of my hea but they should have different colored orings

O rings are the same color on the 6 speed. Black plastic Trim sol goes on the out side ( on the end ) and brown goes on the inside.

Should the new C1's friction side be facing the shaft?
not 100 % posative just going off of memeroy( iys been a while) but i think the friction side faces the apply plate .
i would wait for someone else to chime in . i have always went off the suncoast diag . :D

Yep, friction facing the apply plate (into the drum).

Correct.
You will have the thick steel apply plate on top of the piston and that is the firt platse you install. Notice that it has internal teeth. We call this a stationary clutch as it turns with the shaft. Next clutch is an external tooth clutch ( lining facing down and that is a floating clutch. Stagger them like this.

Thank you. I have the clutches. Just waitng for the rebuild kit. I noticed a bad o ring in the C1/C2 clutch pack. I am crossing my fingures that it will arrive tonight, but it is coming from UPS so who knows when I will recieve this package.

I am not for sure where the C3 P1 Ring Gear Thrust Element Spacer goes. It sounds like it goes between the thrust washer and the P2 Planetary carrier assembly. Is that correct?

Yes. You notice that it has the same configuration as the platic washer. That is installed to raise the ring gear to better support the extra clutches.

C4 clutches - The instruction says to install the OE apply plate with springs. Is that correct. I would think that I would have to use the supplied C4 top pressure plate with the springs and use the stock C4 clutch backing plate.

Edit - I figured it out.

What about the Stator busing? I believe I would just replace the Oil Pump body/converter hub bushing with this stator bushing.

The shim goes on top of the pr spring, then the retainer which looks like a hat, then the pi that locks it.
Stator bushing needs to be replaced only when the old one is worn out. If yours is still red teflon with no gouge marks, you need not replace it and the same with the pump body bushing.

I went ahead and replaced the stator bushing. That was a PITA.

I just finishing installing the C1 - C4 clutches.:happy2:

Once I get my lockup boost kit issue figured out; the trans will then be going back into the truck for the ultimate test.:D

How deep should the molded apply pistons sit in the case bore? Should I push the molded apply pistons down as far as it will go in the designated spot? Hope that's correct!
