nice... the 1058 is a 2300rpm stall right? Seems to of held up in Dustins truck so far.
Mine isn't. At least not at the power level I'm at. I can hold the brakes in 1st gear 4wd and run it up pretty high without pushing through them. I had it up to 2500 the other day until the brake torque limiting kicked in and stopped the RPM from climbing.

When the brake torque kicks in does the engine RPM hold steady or oscillate some?

Another thing, when you hit the brake torque limiter does the boost continue to rise even though the rpm is steady or does it hold as well?

It rises to a certain point, but it will only go as high as the fueling will allow it. What you have to realize is the brake torque limiting is limiting the fuel, not the RPM. If the boost comes up more, it could push the RPM up higher than what it was a previous time.

That's what I use it for. Helps for consistency, but I'm trying to figure out where the best place to launch is right now, so I have it raised up pretty high. :thumb:

I tryed the same thing and it would do different things all the time. It would seem to work great then the next time it would go way higher. I finally give up and just use my right foot to get it were I want it. Jeff

Well, I'm at the track waiting for Pro/Mod qualifications to finish so I can get another test and tune run or two in. I'm working on getting the launch figured out. So far I've got down to a 1.70 60' time. The truck is looking promising. Still running the 2200 uS tune, and I think I can get an 11.5 with it if I can get everything to come together. Here's the best so far.

60'- 1.705
330'- 4.865
1/8- 7.483
MPH- 94.08
1000'- 9.745
1/4- 11.665
MPH 115.91

I'm hoping I can get a mid 1.6 60' before the night is over. I figure that should put me solidly in the 11.5 range maybe even an 11.4 if I play with the shift points some. Might even try throwing a little more fuel at it and see what it does.

Oh ya, [whispers]so far, no more trans problems either[/whispers]
