I went to an 1/8 mile track this afternoon to get some baseline numbers. I got a handfull of runs in, and got some good room for improvement. I did absolutely nothing to prep the truck for the track. I went by the truck stop up the road after I left the track, and their scales say the truck weighed 7140. I ended up getting a best run of 7.64 @ 93.69 MPH with a 1.77 60' time. Unfortunately, I think I may have hurt the converter when I tried to run my bigger tune.

Thats a pretty healthy pass for no prep and baseline tuning. Sorry to hear about the converter, which one were you running?

I'm running the SC1058. The TCCSLIP goes sky high when I get on it a little, and the truck did not want to take off when I tried to launch on the last run (like it was just spinning with no coupling). I'm not really sure what's going on, but I made it home 40 miles from the track. I'll probably go out later and do a little more logging. It isn't making any weird noises or anything.

I did find something interesting. I hadn't raised the shift points from before the new build, and it was shifting from 4th to 5th at ~3250 RPM. I raised the the shift point to 3800 RPM and gained 2 MPH.

Good base runs Josh. I hope it isn't anything major with the trans. Fyi they would only let us run 1/8mi at Shrevport because of water seepage on the far end of the track.

Thats great for a baseline and first trip to the track. That mph is good for some 7.40s - 7.30's. Sucks you might have hurt the trans/converter.

I wish I had your MPH. Did you run it with the Co-pilot on? I think I might need one of those. My converter doesn't lock until the very top of third.

No, I sold the Co-Pilot. I have an AllyLocker from Fleece, but I didn't have it installed at the time. The converter wasn't locking until after it shifted into 4th. I'm thinking that should be good for a couple of tenths and maybe a MPH or two.

Too bad about the trans though.

Way to go Josh. Sorry to hear about the converter, though.
I've been driving it, and I'm not sure there is really anything wrong. I did a few test launches on the street with no problems, and it never acted up. I checked the fluid, and it smelled and looked good. I think part of my problem was in the TCM, and maybe some fluid on the track or something. I looked at the logs I made, and it showed I was spinning the tires on the launch (which I didn't feel) and again at about 50 MPH. I'm gonna try to get back to the track this weekend and see what I can do. Hopefully I can hit a 1/4 mile track this time.

It sounds like there's alot left in it. Could I get some feedback on the Allylocker too?
