And IMO, the most impressive truck was the 6.4 ford in 2.8 class. Just amazed the heck outta me! And I LOVE the look of it with the extra long bed. Just a cool truck doing different things.
x2 that 6.4 is very impressive. Nice looking truck too.

Isn't it the F450 that everyone is bitching about
It's definitely a diff pulling environment. The track soil is odd & short. I think outcome would be different on a tighter track that's 300-325' long. I'm just not convinced this pull demonstrated the stoutest truck. It did show the best setup & drivers though.
Is it a F450? Its the truck that is in Diesel Power this month
What gears did you guys run and of corse we are still learning with the dmax swap truck he used 4.10 and hit 3rd gear and could not get any ground speed what so ever we are thinking the locker in the front didnt lock like it was suppose the rear did awesome with the full spool lol does anybody have vids of the workstock class
They told me is was half sand and half dirt which I thought was odd got to protect the million dollar horses feet I guess
And I really like the 2.6 pull on friday gosh it was so close 227.74, 227.65, 227.32 between 1st,2nd,3rd place
And to me there is alot of workstock trucks that should 2.6 some 2.6 trucks should be 2.8/3.0 but hey all of those trucks runs good with each other at that arena but im like everybody else put those same trucks at a 300+ ft hard red clay track and i beleive you would have a total different result but all in all it was a good pull
Not sure I've been to busy to read but I think it is. There was a thread on compd debating if an F450 is 1 ton or less. I quit paying attention, same arquements over & over.
Yeah thats the truck,, the big debate was over the bed length of all things since a 10' bed was never offered and the fact it came from the factory with too long of wheelbase and the frame was shortened to meet rules. It's a 450 thats been Dana 60 and 80 swapped.
yeah I don't understand the fuss. It's no longer of a wheelbase then anyone else can run, the drivelive is now the same and the 6.4 in a full time puller is a new concept so to me it seems he's playing catch up still. Really the badges are the only thing "450" about it anymore is the badges. I for one am pumped about the progression of newer generation trucks and the performance they are achieving with them.

[QUOTE I'm running 4.56 gears in mine now. What size of tires are you guys running? Also is it a E-locker? SOmetimes they don't like to engage.
35 inch tires with like a 2 trac detriot locker in the front he said it didnt feel like the locker kicked in till about about half track some said we should have took alot of weight off the front and put it in the bed
I can see me in the first picture! Lol, pretty good pull really...Not getting home till 3:00 in the morning kind of sucked though should have grabbed a hotel room!
Don't know if any of you guys noticed or not but on the "other woman" when he went up the bank it bent his stack and got into the back of his cab and pretty much taco'd the top of his cab, as well as wiped out his sled stops to!! I wouldn't be to happy if I was him but what are you supposed to do hit the the brakes? He didn't look to happy when he got out!
J.T's truck is a strong running mofo that's for sure!!
