“Hot and wet. That’s nice if you’re in a lady, but it ain’t no good if you’re in the jungle!” - Roosevelt D. Roosevelt, amateur weatherman in Vietnam.

Southern NJ has been awful. 97 yesterday and will be 96 today and humid enough to bring the feels like to around 110+. How is my fat ass supposed to keep wrenching on my lb7 in this weather?! lol Only good part about heat and rain is that my garden is growing like mad. A stop for a cuke from the fridge helps, and there are plenty of them!

Ever considered wearing jungle boots? I've thought about it when I was doing framing (would have saved me from getting nails in my feet) but never did it.
Federal agencies OSHA/MNSHA idiots keep those out.

Merrell shoe company use to make a mid rise trail shoe with CF safety toe. Worked great till safety saw and said whole ankle joint needs covered and solid leather lace ups.
Usually at odds with safety.. mainly under ergonomically unsafe safety rules.

Usually it's unnecessary stuff that raises my body temp to point of heat exhaustion and/or makes safety glasses a safety issue. Especially working on a flatbed semi trailer

Currently wear Justin boots 2054? They stopped making them, I've got 1-2 pairs still in boxes though.

Check out Wolverine W02625. I have worn them for 15 years in paper mills and power plants. The top is not full leather but I have never been called on it. Steel toe and shank, 6 inch rise as required by OSHA.

“Weather out there today is hot and shitty, with continued hot and shitty in the afternoon. Tomorrow a chance of continued crappy weather. Pissy weather front coming down from the north. Basically it’s hotter than a snakes ass in a wagon rot. “

There's a small chance we might get some rain this evening. We're looking forward to it. Very dry here, as usual...

Nice score! Those shutters are easily replicated. I had Home Depot cut them last time. Haha. HD Dave was busy.
I'll strip it down, check everything, probably make another stroker out of it
Most my shop is in insulated except for a 20'x20' area, bout to make some wrap around shelves/workbench that I can stick fully dressed engine under.
Add some organizations to my chaos, utilizing my vertical area

Just got back from a vacation down to litchfield beach. Put some mileage on my uncles 3.0l baby max. Man I am impressed with it!

Seen a high of 27 mph

Averaged 23

Low of 19 going 80 over fancy gap.

That sucks. I have never had to deal with Osha for basically anything. My job just requires a safety toe. I’m wearing Ariat steel toes that I’ve been wearing for the past 5 years or so. I’ve put some MILES on those boots lol

Either I’m drunk. Or people are fucking out of their mind. I have drank half a bottle of bourbon 🤷🏻‍♂️

7 brew, a coffee shop chain was doing buy one get one free and get a free rubber duck at 7-8pm tonight. And people went ballistic. People absolutely stacked up and whining about no free effing duck.

Must be something special in their recipe. The 7 Brew here in Zanesville is packed even mid day through the week, I don't get it
