Info: Allison trans in 2.6 truck

I have greendury old 2.6 truck and have been running the same Allison since I bought it. I have freshened the trans before last season and am over 1k HP last season with a 3000 stall Everything seemed to hold fine. Also running 4.56 with 35. Truck ran very strong but still can improve.

Sure is. But prolly gonna drop back to a 3rd start since I have been getting some crazy codes for the convertor.

Well maybe mine just didnt want to force lock and cooked it. What's your final ratio

Obviously you cannot get 4500+ rpms out of an allison before launching. But will an allison truck properly setup, you can leave with enough boost to leave just as hard. I'm also not convinced yet that blowing the tires off immediately before moving 2 total feet is better than what we are doing with an auto....

i have a zf and a trippe disc sitting on the garage floor you guys aren't helping me with weather to stay alli or not....

If you aren't burning them up and have no trouble lighting I would stick with an auto. If you move to a stick I would put an nv4500 in just for the simple fact of room to grow. These zf don't have a removable bellhousing and will not fit an 8 inch slipper
