Last ship I was on had a GM 645-v12.. 7740ci displacement...had dual air starters.. 100gl tank at 3000psi reduced to 150psi

What kind of pressure and volume do the air storage takes run at for those engines?
I used to work on a bus that had an air starter. I think it was maybe 30 gallons at 125 psi if im not mistaken. Only got two tries to start before running out of air
Can you get mahle monotherms for that engine?
I know some people keep spare engines and trans for their trucks.
If you could find a cheap engine and build it up over time it might pay off in the long run as you would have a spare just in case something like this happens in the future. Although with a spare engine there is not a lot of drive to build it.
