had head/valve job done on the 454... 8,000 miles late on said valve job... and machine shop said "we don't make mistakes"
Adam, you said the most profitable truck you had was the 454 before the first diesel, correct?
Could you put a 454 in the FL? Wonder how it would hold up with a good 5 or 6 speed manual behind it.
Likely out of your price range Adam so I’m not even suggesting it but have you seen any of these out on the road? We might be getting a couple of these to put service bodies on.

Because we all know why international got the boot from ford. judging by how many I'm seeing on the road already there selling a bunch in ohio. That's the new Kodiak's basically. Same truck, different grill as the new medium duty's. After Ford cut ties with International, they teamed With GM to build these. International does the trucks and GM does the power train.

Ole Monte has bought plenty of Fords over the years too
Pretty sure tq and hp to weight would kill the 454 idea.

You can't put all the blame on International when Ford was doing all the tuning. The 6.0l held up pretty good for Navistar, but they only pushed it to 250hp. Ford put there tuning on it to keep up with the rest, and the rest is history. Now the 6.4l is just a nightmare. Knew somebody who had one and it was like a boat, break out another thousand everytime you turn around, and his 2 happiest moments with it were the day he bought it and the day he traded it in.
