Transfercase control is countersunk on left. A/C vent is on right.
Still have to cut out bottom for light switch & larger 1/2 DIN radio. A full DIN unfortunately just does not quite fit.... now I'll have to use a flip up DVD instead of a fixed face one.

Progress is very slow.

Had to give a little attention to another vehicle this summer as well... letting them sit around too long caused the need for a lot of maintenance.
I know it isn't a diesel or a GM, but been having some fun with it.

My last effort was to add the dual climate control to the dash. Got it mocked up, but far from finished.
FYI, that is not the final final dash color....

Supposed to get the bed back very soon.... it's been in body shop prison for ever now. Bought a nice roll pan for the bed at Carlisle last week.

Made a little progress this weekend.

Added some MegaMat to quiet the noise. It really hurt to cover my nice paint....

Got the firewall plate permanently installed.

Added a dash picture... although not finished yet. I still have to modify the radio opening & modify the opening for the column.

did you ever get the engine mounted or is still sitting on stands between the rails?

That gauge cluster/dash looks awesome! Of course, you probably already knew that.

Too cool!

It is mounted to the crossmember I built.... the 1 thing I seemed to forget to take a picture of before I put it on.

Unfortunately it is too close to the floor to get a good picture. I'll have some underfloor photos once I get the interior done & pick it back up..... unfortunately it may be a long time at the rate I'm going.

Dazedandconfused

Lost in the diesel smoke.

Looks awesome. How long did it take you to build the custom dash bezel around the cluster? You useing the stock colum or the donor truck one?

Using the 2005 column with radio controls, DIC etc. Dash took way too long to build. Probably over a week in it so far & I still have to cut it for the radio & steering column. Probably will consume 100hrs before I'm done.....

Putting the dash together now. Got the new heater box mounted, pedals mounted (electric throttle hooked up to stock pedal) & now trying to modify the dash pad for the heater controls. Will try to post some more pics in the next week or so.
