OOOPS! I tow that heavy with my DURABURB, and it wasn't rated to tow anywhere near that much with any package.

Since were derail8ng and all, I figured I'd gay WAY off target and go pre duramax era.

Have fun "gaying off":roflmao:

13k is over weight?

If his trailer is 11000 empty then loaded it is. By the time you add , water, gas in toy hauler, atvs or bikes, gear, tools, and all other supplies he will be over the 22k gcwr. Not to mention trailer rating for that truck is 12000.

Now can you tow more? Yes. Legally hell no. Like I say. Its all fine until that big accident where lawyers get involved.

Just cause you own a diesel dont mean you can pull a freight train. My point is if your are not going to stay within factory ratings then dont bich about crap failing.

1 ton duallys gcwr is 23,500 - 9200 for the trucks weight = 13,800 towable! Sorry but I'm not over the max. Besides the truck would overheat with the trailer completely empty at 10.9k

It has been my experience, the DOT goes by axle weight ratings and tires. Not gross vehicle rating. I have rolled over several state check points with a 19,000 lb boat hooked to the bumper. They checked the weight on each axle, trailer is triple 8k, and truck had about 1,000lb Tongue (iirc). Officer checked trailer tag and tires on truck then said have a nice trip sir.

Now we are derailed fer sure:D

I like to have my dog ride in the bed do you think I'll be over weight? Thats the biggest tire I can run? If I bulletproof my truck can I stack my edge, quadzilla, and smarty? Will I make 1000hp if I add NOS? Maybe add a few stickers too just in case.

Don't think about any of it unless you have atleast an 8" exhaust tip.
