I hope not. It would be way cooler if they keep it a 6.6. If it is different I hope it's something unique. 6.7 would just be gay.

Yeah I don't know if what I read is true or not, time will tell. Hopefully they don't have Bruce Jenner debut it or whatever her name is now.

So the '88-91 3/4 and 1 ton trucks don't count?

It's been a trend with GM to not change the 20 and 30 series with the 10 series.

I'm not old enough to know about that model line. Lol...

I do know that since I've been buying trucks that GM has always released updated 1500 series first, then the next year follow suit with the Denali and 2500 refresh. I speculate that the 1500 refresh was an attempt to draw attention away from the rampent, widespread complaints about vibration from the new gear sets in the diffs...;)

Finally! At least there's some news. Doesn't look like much of a change physically. Meh, whatever. I'm more interested in the drivetrain anyway. If the numbers don't topple those of the competition, I'll be disappointed. Then again, I believe the LML is underrated as it stands. Would love to see what they're going to do with the looks of the Silverado.

I'm not old enough either Hahaha! I just study vehicles.

I think we've both noticed the trend. Just some years the transition period is longer than 1 year. I think the '01 2500 was a two year transition from '99.

I don't know anything about the gear vibrations.

How's the fishing been down your way? Did the reds show up yet?

Why update the 1500 and not the 2500?

They only difference I've seen in the 1500 is the Silverado has a slightly different grille and headlights with LED daytime running lights. I haven't noticed any difference in the GMC 1500 since 2014 when they came out, but I don't keep up much with half ton stuff. I don't remember seeing pics of a Silverado in that article either, so maybe it did get the same updates as the 1500 version. I don't really know.
