    Allison Builders around Central Fl

Just got my truck back from Sonny (Skintback) this morning and have only put about 200 miles on it driving from his place to work, and JEEZ if that is any indication of how this transmission is going to feel going forward, I'd say it was definitely worth the downtime and money spent. Sonny was a...

    Allison Builders around Central Fl

Not sure if this is technically being written in the correct place, so anyone feel free to move it if it needs to be. I'm located in Central Fl and am looking to build my transmission. I don't plan to do anything over the top as far as the engine build goes, but i would like to know the...

    Starting a SAS build

That's great info. Screenshotting to reference. The tcases you mentioned.. Would I be able to run them divorced, or would I have to adapt them to the Allison?

    Starting a SAS build

Goodmorning James and thanks for the reply! I don't know if you'll remember, but i had a post a few weeks ago about my UCA resting on the frame drop out. This is the same truck, so it's a 2wd. I'm still taking into consideration the things you mentioned, although I won't be certain the...

    Starting a SAS build

Hmm, I'll have to check that out. Didn't realize they offered a kit too. For the time being, the plan is to buy adapters until I figure out the exact difference in WMS-WMS between the 14bolt and the D60. Then maybe I'll machine the rotors and unit bearings if i need to widen the rear.

    Starting a SAS build

A few months back, I purchased a 2008 Super Duty axle to put under my 2005 Sierra, using WFO's 3" coilover kit. When I had time to, I'd work on piecing the axle together to get it as complete as possible in prep for this swap. I've almost saved up the amount needed to buy the kit and the...

    Torsion Bars

If I were to get about a 4” lift though, the pickup points between 2wd/4wd trucks are the same right? I don’t recall seeing many, of any, options for 2wd trucks around the 4” height.

    Torsion Bars

Gotcha.. I appreciate all your help and advice. I’m trying not to throw a bunch of money at the front suspension right now, but if it’s a concern of safety I will. The reason I just need to get by for a few more months like I said earlier was because I’m almost done resealing a Dana 60 from a...

    Torsion Bars

https://imgur.com/gallery/WAgtJkI Let me know if this works. There should be 3 pictures. First is pass side, second is driver side, and third should be the crossmember with adjuster bolts out. Is there anything in specific you need me to post pictures of? I will go take pictures from the front...

UPDATE: I decided while I had a jack handy at work, I backed out the driver side adjuster bolt as well and lowered it back down, drove around the parking lot a few times in forward and reverse. The UCA seemed to have settled up a little more. I can now see daylight through the gap. Maybe 1/8th...

    Torsion Bars

So I’ve pulled the adjuster bolt out of the passenger side. I did that as soon as I got to work this morning but haven’t had a chance to move it around yet. This weekend is crazy busy, so there’s a ton of set up I’m overseeing right now. But when I get a breather, I’m going to roll it around and...

Sounds like I’m going to have to suck it up and deal with it, or go to stock keys huh? I’m just not understanding why the UCA is drooped all the way down with the bolt not tensioning the key up.

By reindexing it, do you mean unloading the bar, and turning the bar once counter clockwise while leaving the key in the same position, then reinserting it?
