    Very good question!! I've often thought about this myself. I have came to the fact that it's just because of the fly by wire stuff. Maybe if there was still cables attached to everything the truck wouldn't do that. I figure it's simply the time everything involved needs to process the info...

    Like said before that truck built by the Big Foot guys and was at SEMA. I thought it was alright. I didn't go crazy about it but some people seemed to think it was really bad ass. I guess it looked cool sitting there:thumb: I find it funny that these guys thought it would take that:rofl:

    So i'm thinking about waiting awhile before I pull the trigger on a trans kit. I have talked to the person I would like to build the trans for me and he suggested a SC 4 kit with a 1056. I trust him 100% but now i'm thinking about getting something different. Should I wait to buy??:confused:

    I guess I lucked out and got a 1/2 ton tailgate from the factory!!! Mine has the wider "step" and is attached with screws.

    I have found aftermarket gears will be louder 9 out of 10 times. Nothing you can do about it really. It depend on how they are setup as well. I would put new bearings on for the simple fact your in there. I wouldn't want to rip it apart just to install new bearings again. FWIW.

    I have 4:88 gears but yeah.......it doesn't help much. I started with 36's, stock gearing. Went on to 37's with stock gearing for about 1 week. Went to 37's and added the 4:88's. Now with 4:88's and 39.5's. I ran the 36's and 37's on the 3:73's for 35,000 miles. I know that did help but i'm sure...
