Allison 6sp: Strange acting in T/H
When does it unlock? afaik It will unlock on it's own as you decelerate below 25 mph. I'm usually unlocked by the time the 2-1 shift occurs. Same as when you start off, it'll be unlocked and then lockup right about 25mph in 2nd- oscyjack

Yeah but peoples definition of "haze" will likely vary. What I was referring to was just deleted exhaust, being more smelly than usual and paired with a rougher running condition.- oscyjack

Stupid question maybe, but where are you located? It could just be winter blend fuel creating the extra haze/oddities Past 3 weeks I could NOT find the cause of my rough idle, temps are still averaging over 40 so I was still using my summer additive blend. Allison limp... virgin
If you don't want to build, you can reset the limp and make sure the transmission has a good fluid/filter always. I have not limped mine yet but it's come close. I get quite a bit of TC chatter when locked on the highway. I have the same tunes as you or thereabouts and I now run only the 1st...- oscyjack

Hahaha. Definitely trans first. Gonna speak with evan tomorrow or monday and chat but i'll probably go forward with his TC planing for the eventual big single. Hopefully the stocker suffices with some more aggressive tuning in the interim. Thanks for all the input again, i'm a bit over my head... -

Thanks rigger. I had kind of assumed he'd be using his in house regardless, so good to know. I can ask him when we meet, only a couple text messages thus far, but in your opinion will running his in house converter on a stock turbo be fine? As far as power, I don't care about specific numbers... -

Other than it's mark's tuning on his turbo, would kory not be able to tune it to a comparable effect? I have no problems switching to mark for tuning if it's the right move, it's why I asked after all. I guess I'm the type that likes more info, and so I am driven to ask why that switch of tuners... -

Thanks for the input. Sorry, to clarify it would not be a self build, but a trans all ready to be installed and then ship back my core. I am fully aware I would butcher the internals of the allison ;). Thats two votes for the danville so i'll be reading up on it tonight! -

Thanks for the input. I went with kory for tunes based on his forum fanfare and his reputation. At the time I didn't realize an autocal would lock me into his tunes. I assume he's still considered a top notch option after trans and turbo? I would rather not have to pay extra to switch tuners. -

Bad Injectors??
sub'd. My LMM has a decent white puff at startup, not concerned with it as it's a straight pipe diesel. I do have a quite the rich smell coming from the re-route and exhaust though -
Turbo help
You might not be able to see it easily, especially if its EGR related. Mine was leaking PCV gunk all over the engine bay so I decided to rip it out. The sounds you describe definitely sound in relation to the EGR area. You can get your turbo rebuilt if needed for short money, like $400. I have... -
