L5P with 100,000 miles and a stutter or slip at 1500 RPM

That tells you nothing. Bring up converter rpm slip on the screen and drive it watching the rpm after the converter clutch applies and see what the slip rpm is. It takes a lot of clutch slip to throw a converter code.

L5P with 100,000 miles and a stutter or slip at 1500 RPM

Doubt it's the converter. Suncoast rarely has converter problems. Time to put a scanner on it.

L5P with 100,000 miles and a stutter or slip at 1500 RPM

Need to know history and mileage. Chances are you have a worn out converter clutch.

I would look at the solenoid first. I bet they used the old one over. Common practice.

L5P with 100,000 miles and a stutter or slip at 1500 RPM

I have run into a couple of L5P's with similar problems. The rpm's fluctuated from time to time. We found a bent return spring in the F trim valve train that would hang up sometimes and not let the F trim valve stroke all the way down.

You are so right but, not every dealer has a tech as knowledgable as you.

L5P with 100,000 miles and a stutter or slip at 1500 RPM

Need to put a scanner on it and watch what the converter slip rpm's is showing. It better be "0" and holding. If the rpm fluctuates, the converter clutch is slipping.

Cross section size is more important than thickness of the cooler.

Need some advice on car-buying/selling sites

Pick one of the companies you listed. They are all good. Now's the time to sell as prices will start coming down.

    Anyone ever use a dragy?

I have been laid up for a week with a bladder infection. I can't even get in or out of a car right now. Evan has tested it quite a bit and found it to be very accurate. From what I see, you need a good launch and not blow the tires off and it will be withhin 1-2 tenths off from a real timer.
