    Anyone here have a t-4 turbonetics pedestal with the gate on the back? does it use stock up-pipe bolts (10x1.5)? the stock bolts just don't want to go in without it starting to eat the threads and before I run a tap in there to chase the threads I want to make sure they are for stock up-pipe...

    I picked up power and lowered EGTs driving my HP turbo harder. That's why im gated both my 42 and 55 in the new set up. From what ive seen the harder you drive the "small" turbo (obviously not over speeding it) the more power and more in check the EGTs/drive will be.

    besides the fact that our local track is one of the strictest in the country and went over my truck with a fine tooth comb to pass it for 10s, I wanted to do the cage just for my own safety. We all spend so much money in these trucks trying to go fast, if in the off chance something bad happens...

    IIRC its 22. SoCal billet hold downs are 33 I believe.

    that was one part that surprised me a lot with this converter. I had a 57 in my black truck when it was in race trim and it coupled awesome but was too tight. I would have to say the K couples just a good (1.5 60s in a CC on an 1150uS tune) while still being loose enough to spool a big twin set...

    Going from what Lorenzo at SoCal told me was at high hp, the cast hold down was vibrating so to speak in the head and that the billet hold down was necessary. Cuz I originally had the same thought as you.
