I haven't seen any from anyone else. I was going to make a set but after dumping thousands into my motor so far I don't really have the extra $ to do it. esp if they don't work out..

Copying people's design and parts is not the way to go IMHO

Not here to bash you, but too much "Copying" goes on then the price undercutting starts and in the end the bottom feeders looking to make $5 on a part screw the industry.

The amount of R&D, CNC programming, testing that goes into designing, manufacturing and delivering these parts is huge.

Certain items like hold downs are easy to replicate, and serve one purpose. No real design time involved, can be forged or made from billet. A few companies make them.

On the contrary there us considerably time in setting up cad programming for CNC. That does cost money along with design tweaks ect...

So Cal hold downs on mine as well. Didnt strike me as an outrageously priced item. Then again, I got a great deal from Steve who is set up direct with Guy.

You know what I think maybe just a stud would work fine. If there was a stud in the aluminum head instead of a bold we could torque it down probably twice as much.

SoCal makes them for Lbz. We carry them in stock. We run them on both of robs race trucks (Lbz motors) and on my white truck.

Going from what Lorenzo at SoCal told me was at high hp, the cast hold down was vibrating so to speak in the head and that the billet hold down was necessary. Cuz I originally had the same thought as you.

Every time I have lifted one it is always the holder itself actually straightening rather then the bolt. It literally takes the arch out every time.

I am running SoCal hold downs and my injectors haven't fallen out of my heads! Seems like they work :thumb:

I didn't see a need for them in my build. I run stock hold downs with SoCal studs. Torqued to 42ft lbs instead of 37 factory. For LB7
