    Trailer Brakes Too Weak

So we checked the wiring last night, 13v at the plug like it should be. Cheap connectors were all used the rest of the way back of course(Will try to upgrade those eventually along with new wiring). We had about 8.5 volts to each brake assembly, assuming you lose some running back that far? I...

    Buying a truck with P0741

So I noticed the pan is bent up a little in the middle on the passenger side. So I wondered if it got the internal filter if that could have cause a fluid starvation issue taking out the converter. So I talked to the guy I purchased the truck from and he said when he changed the fluid and...

Need some help and sorry about the long post. Just providing all info

I rarely see over 1200 with this danville turbo, but if I hit 1300 im backin out or downshifting. IIRC these turbos are rated for around 1350 continuous. 1500 for a burst might be okay but Im pretty confident you would kill something if you held it there for long.

    Building Truck for 650hp

You will be very happy I think. Just know a piston will let go eventually if your hard on it all the time so plan for that. But chances are in your favor you wont have any issues for a good while. I just didnt worry about it with my lbz and had fun. It lasted several years and 100,000+ miles and...

    Buying a truck with P0741

I think I'm going to just have gm flush it, slap a LML converter in there and run it until it breaks, if it ever does... I've been watching truck masters video and I could pull it all apart but I wouldn't know what to look for anyways as far as damage. Worst case scenario is I ruin a $450...

    Buying a truck with P0741

It's time to get this done, I'm going to try and order parts today. How deep should I go into this trans? I'm trying to get an idea of which seals to buy since they seem to all be sold separately.

    Building Truck for 650hp

I agree Brad, Ive been around the guys that drop in turbos and then "O I have 600 horsepower", when in all reality a built trans/lift pump truck would walk them every time in a real race because they dont even have appropriate supporting mods (BIGTIME pet peeve of mine). A true 500+ hp truck is...

    Building Truck for 650hp

I agree it's not the most reliable. Mine made it from 125,000 to 250,000. And I beat the crap out of it, so I was happy with that.

    Building Truck for 650hp

The guys running stock turbo/injector trucks hot are still running those 3200/30 tunes and they seem to hold up fine. I agree less fuel and more air is far better but it's still done every day! That same tune with just a drop in turbo will usually top 600 easily though so it's far from efficient...

    Buying a truck with P0741

I understand the converter is better, but Mike said if the pressure is too high for the LML converter it will hurt the clutch lining. 01-10 runs 230psi and 11-16 runs 80psi is what he said. My concern is will the higher pressure kill the LML converter faster, should I just put a stock converter...

    Buying a truck with P0741

So I found where Mike L was talking about running the LML converter in a 01-10 truck. Can someone explain? I thought the LML converter was an upgrade over the stock lbz/lmm converter..

I just called them, they said they could! Gonna get that done first I guess and put mobile synthetic fluid back in.

    Buying a truck with P0741

Does anyone have any idea where to get a hot flush done at besides an Allison dealer?

    Buying a truck with P0741

And the pan had a couple small pieces in it and typical dust on the magnet. He said he ran about 8 gallons of fluid through it after he lost the converter.

    Buying a truck with P0741

The guy that had the truck before me took pics when he checked things out and changed fluid/filters. This was the solenoid screen he said.

    Changing setup, need opinions.

I'm not sure which 68 you have, if it's a box 4094 I probably wouldn't be happy with one as a single. But my vote is single vgt, single 10mm cp3, and the 100 overs, you should be able to top 700 no problem and be fun and clean. Nice set-up. I'm similar but with a 65 and sportsman cp3 and I'm...

    Buying a truck with P0741

I understand, I'd rather not have to do it but I am going to have the trans out anyways swapping converters so may as well learn a little more while I'm at it.
