    Forged or Cast pistons

Yours is probably dialed in a little better than most lol. Honestly though anything over 500hp should be tuned in the seat in my opinion, so at that point I guess just go fingers.. if they really can be made to run that clean. I guess budget plays a small part too but...

    Forged or Cast pistons

From what I've seen I would rather the race cast on a work truck under 8-900hp in normal conditions.

    Forged or Cast pistons

I thought you had the mahle race cast and really liked those for street applications. You didn't break one did you?

    Stroker vs dual cp3 question

Okay, I know there are tons of discussions about this topic already. But I have been reading old cummins forums from back like 2015ish where guys were saying that stroker cp3's were laggier than a stock pump/dual cp3 set-up, is that even a thing? Or if so, has better tuning just eliminated it as...

Max effort sbe mods, 60ft/susp help

^ I'm not a bigtime drag racer, but sounds to me like this set-up is going to be awfully hard to beat for the average guy with a street truck especially for the hassle and money spent. It'd be where I would start! Josh do you remember what tire pressure you ran with?

Trans is bad, upgrade same time as replacement?

I'm assuming that's an 8.1L gas engine... I don't think that engine will have enough torque to lug that thing around at 1500-1600 rpms anyways. With that engine I would actually prefer the 5 speed I think, seems much better suited to me.

The 1078 was sold by limitless last I knew. Suncoast is the actual manufacturer.

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

Does a lift pump hold pressure to the filter head after its shut off. I guess what im asking is what all is supposed to stay primed.

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

Probably nothing for now, a few months ago it was hard starting but not as bad. Pulled the regulator on the cp3 to max it out and fuel went everywhere, it was a high pressure line leaking but only under pressure when you were in the throttle hard. So it was a pain to find just looking around...

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

Yes, the stock filter head is still on there. It's an almost brand new one that I took from my buddy when he deleted his. If it's leaky it's sure not moist around the seals or showing any signs of leakage.

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

The lift pump works, if it didn't then letting it run for 6-8 seconds to re-prime the low pressure side before cranking wouldn't solve the starting issue.

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

Truck runs like a scalded ape, no low rail pressure codes. Only issue is getting it started if I don't let the lift pump prime the low pressure side before cranking.

low pressure fuel leak got me stumped

During the 8ish years of owning this truck I have fixed multiple fuel leaks, both high and low pressure. I'm 99% sure this one is low pressure since pulling the regulator on the cp3 gives me nothing, also the truck starts fine if I let the lift pump run for 6-8 seconds before I crank it. If I...

Duck the MANN or throw in the towel?

Because its about control just like the rest of this mess going on. Before this is over even if it takes 50 more years(not likely) your going to be told where you can live, what career is best suited for you, how many kids your allowed to have, how many groceries and necessities you can use each...

Duck the MANN or throw in the towel?

I agree, as much as I love my diesel trucks and being able to modify them... they are the least of our worries right now. Its just a very small piece of somethin much bigger going on.

Duck the MANN or throw in the towel?

Also it gets it shut down a lot faster with a lot less headache on their part.

    Rotella T6

If we are being realistic, any issues most of us will have from our trucks is probably not going to be from whether we change our oil every 15,000 miles with synthetic or every 3,000 with conventional. There is a guy over on duramaxforum that last I knew had 440,000 miles on his lbz and had ran...

Duck the MANN or throw in the towel?

Exactly, drive your electric car and save the environment while I fly in my private jet. And you shouldn't have the right to carry even a single firearm but I'm going to have 6 bodyguards with enough firepower to fight a small war.

Duck the MANN or throw in the towel?

I take part of this back, I wasnt thinking clearly. I would NEVER go to the hassle of returning the black truck back to stock. But I do have the bone stock white lbz now that wont ever have enough done to it to be hard to return to stock so I could and would be willing to do that in order to...
