    Slow Duramax 1, ricer 0

"When traffic is heavy and slow, it is much safer for motorists to remain in their current lane until the point where traffic can orderly take turns merging." I think we are all referring to the fast paced higher speed situations in which merging early will keep traffic from halting. Last...

    Slow Duramax 1, ricer 0

On the subject of a lane closure If everyone would begin merging when they see signs well before the cones bring the lane over traffic would flow soooooo much smoother. It has nothing to do with "conforming" or looking like a rebel badass and running to the front of the line and cutting in...

    Slow Duramax 1, ricer 0

Yup, we tag team it like that on long trips. Always good to have 2 rigs working into traffic together. Roads down here are brutal, especially holidays when we all make trips

    Slow Duramax 1, ricer 0

Totally hustled a Mazda 3 ricer on 290 while I was pulling a 16'. A pet peeve of mine on the road is when I am rolling in the fast lane with a trailer and someone thinks they have to pass and cut into my "safe" distance I have between me and the car ahead of me. Pisses me off because we...

Turbine housing size difference in compounds

Josh nailed it, I can't keep up with the turbo specs. The 1.10 on the 480 was a great addition. Felt like it actually pulled harder through the entire rpm curve. Shifts were at 3600rpm. Can't wait to see what the little truck does with this setup!! gonna hit like a ton of bricks out of the...

Duramax low on power but still delivers!

agreed. Looking at how well the dodge came on during the back half of the towing test showed the cummins torque during converter lock up. I'm ready to tow my camper with the new truck and see how well it handles it. The old truck with the twins would accelerate up hills with ease, I hope...

Duramax low on power but still delivers!

Duramax with less power still working them over!! So close it I would call it a tie with ford though. The dodge is still lagging behind in power, I bet they end up making an engine improvement now that it's tied to the aisin Nobody ever puts much faith in these tests but it's still cool...

    Anybody have a 2015 yet?

If your talking about the high idle (like 825rpm or so) regen, it's a PITA. It's not really cleaning much, if you don't get to speed and keep the rpms up the high idle regen will last a day or so. I drive in the city (just tools in the bed), averaging 14-15mpg so far with 3400 miles on the...
