LBZ: Removing Edge wiring harness question

My LLY was as simple as removing the edge from between the factory plugs and then just reconnecting them. Any pictures?

    Red Trucks Matter

My black truck is the exception to the rule. The new rig will be a company truck so that makes a big difference.

    Red Trucks Matter

It is less about looks and more about company colors for me. If you have the last name Trojano you buy a red truck.

    Red Trucks Matter

I think a 2018 is more likely. I am hoping if I bitch for the next 8 months Gm will see it. Wife has a 16 4runner and I still have my 09 2500 gas but it might be time for a trade in.

    Red Trucks Matter

I just keep going on the Chevy and GMC websites and body color front and rear bumpers mean white or black. I am still pissed.

    Lb7 piston max hp?

My truck went 10.5 at full weight with delipped LLY pistons. I would say horsepower was around 1100. Pistons came out in perfect condition. That being said, I did replace them with fingers cast ovals when the crank broke.

    Red Trucks Matter

Why won't GM build a color matched red 2500hd. You can buy red 1500s but there are no red denalis and the Chevy is only available colormatched black or white. WTF?????

    Any billet cranks in DD'ers?

I agree with all of this. Once you turn the power up all sorts of little things start to pop up. Whether it be as little as blowing intercooler boots, or as big as trans refreshes, it just seems like there is always something. Also worth noting there is absolutely no need for 800+hp in a...

    Poll time!!

I have my 05 with like 100,3xx miles on it and also have a bone stock 2009 gas 2500hd of the same trim level and 80k miles. I have far less creaks and rattles in my 05 which has been disassembled a million times, leveled, lowered, raced, beaten etc. I love the power of the LML in stock form...

    Cast or forged pistons?

I feel like fingers pistons put an end to the debate for most guys. They will take just about anything you can throw at them for power and there don't seem to be any longevity issues.

    Whats up

:roflmao: OP, do you have a stock crank lined up as a replacement or are you planning on going billet? And are you just going to build a short block then machine heads once you;ve picked which year truck you're building?

    Gains from boring block?

Boring .020 over would only net you 3-4 cubic inches if I remember correctly. I'd be shocked if you could tell any difference at all on the dyno.

    Cast or forged pistons?

At that power level you should have no issues with fingers cast ovals.

    Nitrous for dummies?

Unless you are running a ton of spray I can't see the benefit. Since air fuel ratio isn't so important with a diesel it wouldn't make the difference it does in a gas motor.

    Tuner for Xmas Gift ?

I would not put cut rate tuning on $65k truck. If anything just go with DPF in place EFI live tuning and have it retuned later on if he decides to delete.

    2017 Duramax

MA requires every dually to be registered commercial. Even if you never hook it to a trailer and bough it solely for personal use, it has to be registered commercial. I think that is how they are able to grab guys running heavy in the pickup trucks.

    2017 Duramax

I'm not sure what happens in other parts of the country but I know Mass has been cracking down on guys towing anything over 10k without a Class A CDL license. I wonder how many other states will follow suit because of the insane capabilities of the new one ton pickup trucks.

    Lift Pump Question

sounds like you might just need to rebuild the filter head
