    Brian is referring to the last picture in post #4, There the sensor is in after the cooler, not the ideal place to monitor oil temp.

    With the temp sensor in a port that is after the cooler the oil temp is the same as the coolant temp.

    The port on the top is pre cooler, the oil flows from the pan thru the oil pick-up, oil pump, down the oil galley into the oil cooler assembly. Once in the cooler the top port is before the filter or cooler, this is the best place to monitor oil temps.

    Most drive half way or send their Allison transmissions across the country to Mike. If you are lucky enough to live within 500 miles of Mike L and need trans work, you really should just go to him.

    My crank break #1 was with stock motor mounts. Crank break #2 had Merchant Mounts.

    1st crank I broke was a stock motor, stock balancer, broke at the #4 main. 2nd crank I broke was a built motor with a ATI balancer, broke at the snout.

    Ok, I will answer this if you tell me why you ask. There are basically 3 types, Stock, ATI, and Fluid. Is one better than the other? Also, I have broke 2 cranks with 2 types of balancers. 1 at the #4 main and 1 at the snout. Which one would you like to know about?

    Uneventful, WOT at the end of a 1/8 mile track, loud bang, truck shook, puff of smoke. Still ran fine but the balancer was a little (ok a lot) shaky. Broke at the snout.

    Depends on which time, it was out a while ago for the broke crank and recently when I cracked the cylinder wall. Ya, NJ. I could live in van down by the river in CA or a house in NJ, so I live in NJ since July.

    v band clamp

    I ordered and installed the Danville clamp on my truck. It holds every bit of the 35psi from my 483 going into my Danville 72va. I am glad Danville took the time to research a problem and come up with a great solution. Worth every cent.

    How big of injectors can I run with out loosing tow ability
