Duel CP3s or single nodded CP3

I had a supposedly top quality stroker pump - only 3 mos old - go bang on the dyno, froze up solid and blew out the plugs. It wasn't from Exergy or Fleece or anyone you've mentioned, not Industrial Injection either.....Industrial is doing good stuff now.

    Evans waterless coolant

I wouldn't use Evans. In '08 the Dmax streamliner Mormon Missile was running that stuff at Bonneville.....it was Mike Cook's shootout in October. On the return run the engine overheated and blew the coolant cap clean off. At almost 370 mph, Evans sprayed out, hit the hot turbine housing and...

    Broken Crankshaft Alt Fire Cam

I had an LLY crank break and don't ever want that again. The Winberg crank is a work of art but they break too, in the same place......much more seldom because there are comparatively very few out there. Anything can break, there are no guarantees. We're talking about an expensive teardown and...

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

"Officially".........drove it over for coffee and drove it home.

    No Coal Rolling In NJ

It's no surprise. With all the idiot youtube kids making a big deal of smoking people out, this was inevitable. I'm surprised it took so long. There'll be more places with laws about this too. One day a lifted truck will take out the back window of a car and there'll be laws about that...

    Lifted drag trucks

The truck is set up for pulling, has a 6" lift. At the drags that night he was running 33" Maxxis tires. Traction was a problem. With better tires he'd have been real close to the 10's.

    Duramax Street Rod

In Pocatello last week I saw this thing and listened to it run (loud) and sat in it. That cab with all the rivets.......the stance, wheels, differential, rollcage, and of course the engine with trick valve covers and turbo setup. Everything works together visually. It was done on a budget...

1/4 mile discussion and time slips post here!

In the video I thought he was just messing with the Viper, letting it pull ahead and then blowing past. But looks like the Viper had actually let off when that happened.

Just a white Colorado. You gotta love an ordinary looking pickup truck with a diesel engine blowing the doors off an exotic supercar.

    Shop in Utah

I've gone to Gillett for nearly 10yrs. They know Duramax and do good work. Prices are comparable to other shops. At Industrial Injection Chavis (cafryer) is the Duramax guy and he's very good.

    Straight pipe or muffler???

With the twin setup on a built engine I ran a 5" straight pipe. At highway speed it was too loud in the cab, very annoying. A week of that and it got a muffler.

    Straight pipe or muffler???

Forced induction and normally aspirated different things. You don't want backpressure with a turbo exhaust.

    Comp461 time slip

    I just voted #2.......they're piling up quickly. Nobody's butthurt......you're just a dipshit.

    Comp461 time slip

Yeah but the guy has his own fan club, even if he did create it himself. Probably the only member. And there's a bunch of kids to wash his car, that's gotta count for something........

    Best type of coolant

Evans is flammable. They won't tell what's in it.......unless the stuff catches fire and the driver nearly dies and you get real tough with them. Not allowed at Bonneville since '09.

    Engine build

Three sets of compounds and they've all worked really well, much nicer to drive than a single. If you've had compounds and they didn't work well, it's you needs to get it figured out.

    Engine build

I've run compounds for 7yrs and never once thought it's a mistake.
