    shipping parts

    What is the best way to ship heavy parts? I have some ford 6.4 heads that need work but don't trust any shops around here (and my little mill can't handle them). But I don't want to pay $175 each way (fedex/ups) they will be close to 100 lbs each packaged up.

    If you are buying new I wouuld go with Finger's pistons. I reused the ones in the truck, it was something like $220ish to have them cut and coated for all 8. I'm afraid of forged, I put 20K miles on the truck a year and do starts at -20*F temps

    I have 60 overs and can't wait to go bigger (I am about 850 HP now), for 900 I would go 80 but that is just me. You can do it with anywhere from 60 to 100 overs.

    I have been running 850 ish RWHP on my stock cut and coated pistons, most people would say they are good for 850-950 HP if you keep the temps down

    DOD is taking the brunt of it, so no cuts for social programs (that I'm aware of) just big cuts to the DOD. A lot of the units are taking really big cuts to a point where then might not be combat ready in any way. Not saying that the DOD does not have a lot of pork, but its going to hurt
