yes but it was a preproduction motor so all of the parts were off the shelf bosh parts. Much different. the fuel rails had everything listed on them such as the flow and such. Tim said replace the bolts, I talked to the local dealership duramax tech and he said do the seals so i did them.

im not bashing PPE either although their customer service never helped me at all, after getting sent in a cricle of who to talk to as i guess i "have to talk to the rep who deals with the company i bought it from" and once I got him (rick) i tried explaining the issue to him and i dont know if...

I know mikes a great guy, ill probably just order one from him. The time is an issue though as we still have a lot to get done to get ready for the first pull and my other vehicle just took a crap on me. Looses 2 gallons of coolant if you drive 20'. I would love to send the PPE pedestal back...

alos, is mike the only one who sells the dipstick tube. If possible I would like to get one more locally due to time restraints. i dont want to be held up from initailly starting this thing this weekend because of a trans dipstick tube. One of these days I will buy something from mike, but...

i guess not. The one for the 40 series is threaded. the one for the 42 is not. If you think about it it has to be that way as the spacer is threaded the whole way. its kinda hard to thread two threaded things together. could be done but you would hope PPE wouldve thought of that. Still...

I guess well find out if it will. I kinda wondered too but its supposedly the same as a GT4202 size wise. josh your right on that stupid pedestal, lots of die grinding not only cleaning the ports but grinding the mounting points and the T4 flange and spacer to clear the intake mani. Then...

Motor is in, tranny is bolted up. But ran into issues with the tranny dipstick. doesnt seem to want to fit around the new downpipe. Ill have to look into that further. also learned that you should just drain the trans if you take it out, otherwise it will piss everywhere.

getting ready to drop it in now, just waiting for a buddy to get here. The day started out with nothing going right for me. first the front diff was confusing me so i gave up and set it to the side, then As I was hooking the motor up to the cherry picker i noticed something. The oil...

Stock intake manifold vs. Banks Big Hoss (warning lots of pictures)

actually i know of quite a few, not pro stock but super farms and such as the rules require them to run the stock manifolds. Im glad banks is finally bringing their race products to market instead of building trucks with parts we could never buy. But i doubt many of us will be able to use...

yes, so far so good. well see how it holds together. The motor is now as far as I can go until the CP3 parts come back from tim. all thats left is the fuel juction block, intake bridge and wiring harness to leave room to install the CP3 parts. then were dropping it in the truck. We ran...

its all in my sig. The motor is as far as I can go until the CP3 parts come back from tim. I installed an S400. so yes a big single. I ended up p[ulling the motor to make it easier. In the process i did ARP studs and .050 gaskets from Guy.

ya we never planned on even taking it out. Wish we had the funds to at least do rods since we were right there. But were behind on payments for parts as it is, couple sponsors backed out. i got the valve lash set tonite and the entire exhaust system and turbo install wrapped up. Just gotta...

    My Progress

Well hears the progress on my truck as of last night. we started it last week. Got the heads torqued down which isnt fun.The worst part was that my torque wrench only had an 18" handle and we have the motor kind of sitting on the ground as we were too lazy to build a cradle for it. My back and...

    Tires: Dueler 695

8.5s work just fine a 10" will flatten the tire out a little more though as for ply i have no clue which is best, you dont want your sidewalls flexing. The 315 BFGs guys run and my 695s are 8 ply

    Tires: Dueler 695

i fit 315/70R17s with the bars all the way down. Essentially a 34"x12.5" tire. Yes they rub but you just have to make austin power manuevers

    Tires: Dueler 695

35" doesnt mean much, STSs bite HARD. With twins you shouldnt have an issue. If you had a big single you may find it hard to keep it lit, but with most of your tracks being loose you should be fine,
