Sorry people. I jumped the gun on this thread before talking to the seller. This truck had a big single so obviously its going to have some carbon and heat from big tunes. Mods can delete this thread
That is just awesome! I love sleepers, especially when they make over 1300 hp and the small turbo on the twin kit is bigger than some peoples large turbo!
I'm going to be needing injectors soon and i'm trying to decide if 30% over injectors are worth it or should i just put stock ones in? I dynoed 519/9?? and i hear that's getting into the danger zone for lb7's and i have no desire to build the engine....
So what's safe one a stock bottom end? I dynoed 519 hp and just under 1000 ft lbs. Do I call it good and run it as its been running strong for 2 yrs or do I go to 30% overs for lower pulse width?
To condense my post earlier. The tink is totally normal, find another duramax and listen too it, the smoke is bad injectors, put a new set in and run strong for another 207,000!
That tink is totally normal. I have thread on hear about the same noise from like a year ago. I think its because the cam and cp3 are gear driven. A little smoke is normal too.
I havnt heard a lot about those on the duramax. Seeing as you have a LMM why don't you just get a local guy with a V2 to flash a tune on it for you? Should be under $300....
