    Show off your new tools!!!

Meter with kit was $400 something iirc. If you need a meter for AC work versus automotive you will want something different like a 189 or 289 etc. Dismantled was $45. Worth it in time saved and no more knicked conductors.

    Show off your new tools!!!

Got a Fluke 88V automotive kit and some Load pro leads a little while back. Also got an IR thermometer from them. Just got a Knipex Wire dismantler, been wanting a tool like it and once I finally figured out what they were I ordered one. Lifesaver on trailer wire and anything else like...

    Countertops.

Thanks for the tips, I am off to the restore center tomorrow to see if I can just find some cheap laminate there. I'll price the granite Monday but honestly don't care for it at all even though I know everybody else does. Guess not everybody thinks stainless is pretty, you may be right. I...

    Countertops.

Back to working on the house again, fun fun. Last big project inside though, Kitchen. It was pretty nasty before, 30 years old and moldy which is why everything is pretty much stored on the counters in the "before" pictures. Don't plan on living here for much more than a couple more years so...

    Im still alive.!

Been feeling fine. never really had any side effects from the chemo. Had a few "backwards" ones. They always talk about people not wanting to eat, every time I go in they ask how my appetite is, I say you have my chart what do you think. I've gained 30lbs in 6 months during this stuff. I think...

    F*#kin cold ass weather

Oil stuck like that always seems to draw down batteries. Install a disconnect switch, they are cheap. Then put a battery tender on them to keep them maintained. Battery tender will shut off when not needed. Cheap investement. We put them on anything going into longer storage. Also may want to...

LB7: lots of smoke and burning oil

I have a mityvac diesel gauge with the duramax adapter. upper 300s is pretty common sometimes low 400s. The main thing is that you do not want a variance of more than 50psi between cylinders. Also watch how it builds pressure compared to the other cylinders.

    Running two passanger side manifolds??

haha gee I wonder which....... On the forward mani note, 05smoker? had that on his hugger orange truck didnt he? The heads are very much the same as each other which means it would need to be flipped to point forward in order to bolt up. If the bolt holes were not staggered then it...

    Coolant leak

had mine leak too, depends on what you have for tools but its not too bad to replace, downpipe can be wiggled out of the way. Remove trans mount nuts and tilt motor forward too.

LLY: Opinions on what's next before pulling season

For 5 brush pulls I wouldn't go too wild, but thats up to you. I wouldn't invest in another set of tires as they wont see much use. I pulled with bald BFG's for a year and did halfway decent. The tires you have will work fine. If you were buying some tires just for pulling though the low...

Allison to build or have built?

If you're referring to the Stage V that price is without a converter IIRC. So it would be more by the time you buy it. Now they may have other complete ones at different price points that I am not aware of. Amen to that, then I scratch my head and then call you. Usually ends up being...

    Drag racing is boring

Looks like a blast, pretty cool you get to fly it too. I've been watching a lot of the episode of Air Disasters/Air Crash Investigations/Mayday lately so it's odd seeing a video with no crash haha. The guy that does out crop dusting from time to time is one of those with a death wish I think...

LLY: Opinions on what's next before pulling season

Setup trumps power more times than not. Adapability to different conditions and the ability to read the track will also get you further than any amount of power. If in a points race, consistency is key. First off, are you pulling once or multiple times? Sounds like you just have one pull you...

Allison to build or have built?

x2 for that area. That's too cheap to be done right, whats their labor rate? I am guessing with a price like that he's not using much for parts. Not trying to be a negative nancy, but many have been screwed over on their allison builds in the past whether the shop meant well or not. You can...

    PETA Dairy Knowledge

This is the stuff we have to fight against daily, it doesn't even take a dairy farmer to realize these people are a little in left field. The almond and rice milk industries are going to pay for cow sanctuaries? At least the one lady was right, cows wouldn't survive in the wild. I have...

    Farming is hard.

Opti Coat is working great. Washed it today and the road grime came off effortlessly on the coated panels and the water sheeted off leaving minimal beading behind and no sheet of ice like the uncoated panels that did not shed the water as easily. Here's a beading picture.
