    Opinions on shocks?

I have run the Bilsteins in both trucks and like them...I think the ones in BlkMax are sacked out, but they have almost 60k on them. The newer ones in Emma are still riding great. I liked the Bilsteins enough to buy a second set. We have c**ppy roads up here and I liked the ride with the...

    Lb7s still amaze me

I can't speak for the other engines, I've never owned one, the LB7....guess I'm too cheap...:roflmao::roflmao: I have 2 LB7's...BLKMAX and Emma. I think the reason folks like the LB7's is because there are more LB7's on the road than any other engine model. No other models ran for 3.5 years...

    Oil bypass

Just as a thought, the hose on that kit makes me leery..... I lost a 383 stroker motor one time with bad remote mount oil filter hose. Anymore, I run hydraulic hose or something similar with swagged fittings.

    Low Oil Pressure

Without starting the oil battle......:poop: What worked for low oil pressure at idle and operating temps was to change to Rotella T full synthetic. I got rid of the dino oil and used the synthetic. I'm sure any synthetic would have been better than the dino penzoil the dealer was putting in...

    The Infimous Blind Spot

That is what I use my lighted mirrors for.... If some ya-hoo wants to hang in my blind spot for no reason, I just turn on the signal. They see the red arrows and usually move one way or the other....I think of it as a little passive-aggressive driving.

    budget motor build

Be careful with the LBZ/LMM rods. If you go any higher than what you are thinking, or have a little more aggressive tuning than you think, you will be doing it all again. Ask AubleAK....

    Floor Water Containment?

It depends on how much water pools on the floor, but the State of Alaska used to have road lines (striping) that went down as a roll, or maybe a high build urea paint. Anyway, the stuff was high enough that the graders peel it up when plowing the roads in the winter. I'm thinking it is about...

    Utard Bringing Full Circle

There are other pump rub solutions besides Merchants that are much cheaper.... Like $20 or so plus the gasket and the tube of silicone. It is a steel plate that drops in under the pump. I don't like the Merchant one because it still uses the little steel clips that come in the factory case...

    Slip yoke bump-clunk solutions?

For the spline shafts, I have always used a moly grease specified by Honda (Honda Moly 60 Paste) for the shaft drive bikes (it is also recommended for gears, bearings, and other high pressure/high temperature applications). It works pretty good and is really slippery. This stuff is like black...

    Swapping from Transynd???

I read someplace that the Allison folks do not recommend a flush on our Allys something about moving particulates aroud. He was saying something about a complete drain and fill, run then drain and fill again. But that was for going from a regular DEX fluid to TranSynd. I would think it would...

    My new toy

This is my first Remington center fire long arm in a long time (not including shot guns). For other reasons I have had Ruger's (took them for trade on some work a long time ago), and I just like the Remington. It has a real consistent trigger pull for a stock gun. I may end up getting a new...

    My new toy

At the gun show it was $725. Retail on the net is about ~$680 I figure between the bolt (the guy did a really nice job on the bolt handle), the rail, the bi-pod, and the cheek rest the guy had about ~$300 in it. It also came with a textile soft case.....when I was playing with the case, the...
