    F@#$n injector cup..

No porting. They are however all remanned cleaned and machined with new valve seals, and keepers. The springs are tested and the valve seats machined of course. They're a nice deal for 750$ assuming you have good cores. I didn't initially plan on replacing either head.. Just my luck in action.

And of course I was expecting my new head today being I ordered it on Thursday.. But DHD needs to swap the freeze plugs to make it a passenger side head. Only they've just bothered to call me about it today, 5 days later.. They haven't gotten any plugs in stock yet. Just.. Awesome.. Damn it if...

The $20 LB7 Injector Cup Tool

I wanted to add some recent experience with this tool in the event that anyone is still trying to make them. A 7in anchor is not necessary. Most hardware supply stores only sell 3/4 anchors up to 5.5 inches long. This is plenty. As for the pipe, again most hardware supply stores don't sell...

    F@#$n injector cup..

I'm thinking I will replace the remaining 3 cups including the one I barely galled in the cooling area zone. My question, Do I need to replace the cup seals? They are pretty inexpensive so I may do it anyway. I just wonder if it's necessary being that they were lubed, didn't roll, and never heat...

    F@#$n injector cup..

I'm sorry too. In general I'm an ace mechanic. I never imagined I was eatin the head w that cup tho. I will be putting the cups in the new head before mounting it this time around. I've already built a jig to allow me to install the cups and injectors on my bench. I did successfully build a cup...

    F@#$n injector cup..

I appreciate honesty even when it's brutal. I can't believe that happened like that.. Guess I'll have new heads on both sides after all.. The head has been torqued so the bolts will have to be replaced I'm sure.. What about the new gasket? It hasn't even been heat cycled yet. I havn't seen any...

    F@#$n injector cup..

I sorta used an excessive amount.. At this point even the thermal expansion of the metal may be enough to be my friend. With out having a way other than pliers to hold the bolt still I feel as though I'm not spreading the anchor enough. Shooting in the dark sucks..

    F@#$n injector cup..

Would it be smart to use a small propane torch to heat the thread locker up? I've got a new cup and more new seals. My next try is to remove the accumulator and impact the concrete anchor in the cup.. Having trouble getting it tight enough, it keeps slipping.

Soo re installing my injector cups and I have one that refuses to seat.. Its very close but not flush yet. I've Tried pressing it in w the injector retaining bolt, however at the torque spec, (37 ftlbs) even the holder isnt flush and I don't want to force it more with it being an aluminum...

Sleeve retainer 640 for injector cups

What if i had to gouge it externally but only in the center where the coolant is? It spun in the vice a little bit while trying to release the injector. It's not a deep gouge or anything. I just assume by the placement, no harm no foul.

Sleeve retainer 640 for injector cups

IDK.. Just what I read in the forums when searching for viable substitutions.. Their part numbers now correlate pretty well now i'd say.. 272.. 27200.. Permatex's old number for this same threadlocker was 765-2680 I believe. Word of mouth I guess.
