    Anyone street drive with a hoodstack?

    Put new manifolds on my truck and have run into a clearance problem with my downpipe. wondering if the cops would have anything to say about a hoodstack. I believe it is illegal but am not sure.

    Ran these yesterday, track temp of 2 degrees (around 35-36 for my metric system handicapped friends south of the border:D). cut 1.61 60' with 4-5 pounds less boost than i normally do, because i wasn't sure what the track would hold.

    How hard is it to shorten frame and cab.

    Wondering what it would take and cost to make my crewcab shortbox a regular cab shortbox. basically cut out the back of the cab and shorten the frame. anyone done something like this? would it be better to buy aregular cab longbox and transplant everything into it.

    Do pedestals have to be divided?

    Like title says. I have a spacer between my turbo and pedestal that is not divided. the idea is to plumb a 50mm wastegate off the spacer. are there any cons to not having a divider in the spacer?

    Intercooler opinions

    anyone have any experience with aftermarket intercoolers? A couple of my dodge friends say their AFE's run 1-200 degrees cooler than their Banks units did, but AFE doesn't make one for chevy's. I am undecided if i need one and if so which one.

    Went to the track tonite.

    Best run was 11.26 @121. was out of fuel at half track. Those turbos sure will eat alot of fuel once we tune it. 70 lbs. boost, backpressure will spike over 100lbs. and settle in at 75 lbs. egt's at 1500. will post video. there was a crewcab 6.4 ford there, 2wd running 11.8's with 2 shots.

    What are the drawbacks? don't see many guys run it. I would think the benefits of lower egt's would make it more popular. Kelly
