    Stock Valve Spring Retainers

I'm thinking about buying a set of Hamilton Valve Springs because they can be used with the stock retainers but I was wondering if there is any negative effects to running the stock parts? I don't want to have to worry about my top end while turning a lot of RPM's at the drag strip and I'd...

    wherli Y bridge install

Will this kit work on an LB7? It says LLY, LBZ, and LMM in the title but then states that it'll fit 2001-2010 models in the description.

    True Twin Hx35's???

Like I said earlier, it's going in a 1992 Dodge D250, I know most of you guys haven't seen under the hood of one but there is quite a bit of room on top of the front fenders and the engine bay is very deep and wide itself. I don't think I'd have any issues doing it if I decide to.

    True Twin Hx35's???

If I use a single I have a side mount setup that I'll put on, not a pedestal. So a lot of things will need to be changed anyway. It was just an idea.

    True Twin Hx35's???

Is there any huge drawback to running it without an intercooler? I would eventually put a water/meth kit on it but I think running true twins would require a lot of complicated intercooler piping.

    True Twin Hx35's???

It's not too complicated of an idea. It would be something different than the normal "big single" or "s475 over stock" builds that we see here.

    True Twin Hx35's???

I plan on running a loose 2500 stall converter, a manual VB, and I won't ever drive it over 5-6000 feet of elavation. I live in the Central Valley which is at about 90 feet of elevation and do 98% of my driving here. The truck will weigh about 5000 pounds when set and done. Should I do it or...

    True Twin Hx35's???

I would put the setup in my 1992 D250 so there's plenty of room in the engine bay. My buddy is a really good fabricator and can make a set of turbo headers fairly easily. I'm thinking about getting 2 Hy35's and giving it a go. I wouldn't run an intercooler to save myself a lot of hassle with...

    True Twin Hx35's???

Not to mention the sound of it would be very unique if I were to run a true dual exhaust on it.

    True Twin Hx35's???

I don't think its ever been done before, but what do you guys think about running a true twin turbo system on an LB7 with 2 Hx35 turbos off of a dodge diesel? I'm willing to bet it would spool up pretty quick and it should flow about 115-120lbs/min of air which is comparable to an s475 or s480 I...

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

That's some good info guys. I think I'll try and stick with the 47rh then. I do plan to use a full manual vb and ratchet shifter too. It's a work in progress but I'm excited to see what it'll do when it's done.

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

Sounds like you really like the 47rh behind the duramax, any specific reasons why? My plan was to cut the cover off of my high stall Goerend converter and put a chevy cover on it. My buddy has a cnc plasma table he's getting dialed in and he said he might be able to cut an adapter plate out...

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

After seeing some different info on here and looking at prices, I've been thinking about using a turbo 400 trans with overdrive or a 700r4 in my truck. The price for a built gm tranny is substantially less than a 47rh is. Even though I already have a pretty stout 47rh in my truck the adapter...

    s475 single

From my experiences, you do need to swap the center section. The 96mm exhaust wheel is big enough to require a larger heat shield and a larger size housing that has a larger flange on it. This means it needs a physically larger center section as well. It can all be changed for a price though.

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

Yup those are the springs I'm running. I do not know the offset or back spacing, just picked them up on Craigslist and put them on. I had to cut part of the fender in front of the tire off and hammer a few places in for extra space at full rack (steering) travel. A set of new mud grapplers might...

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

Check out post #26 on page 2, I have the suspension setup written there. The aftermarket rims in the pictures are 18x10 Raceline Renegades with 33x12.50 Nitto Mudgrapplers that were nearly bald. Any more questions just feel free to ask.

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

Update: Dsp5 switch came in yesterday and I have a set of 40% over nozzles on the way. Still need to order a set of ARP's and decide which valve springs to run. Does anyone know the part number for the ARP injector hold down bolts? I have a set of billet hold downs but need the bolts.

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

What kind of horsepower are 40% over injectors capable of supporting without running too dangerous of a pulse width?

    1992 Dodge D250 Duramax

Will my truck do ok with stock injectors and nozzles for a while? I know someone said on here earlier that I would hate it with stock injectors and that big single but I'd like to get a general consensus on it. I will eventually go bigger but I'd like to see what the stock sticks can achieve...

Valve springs: Comp Cams vs. SoCal Diesel

After a little digging I found that according to comp cams, they do use ovate wire for their springs. Here's a link with more info: http://www.compcams.com/WhatsNew/NewsDetails.aspx?ListHistoryID=-1496105858 Guy, can you please tell us why your valve springs, seats, and retainers are better...
