    Got some more Japanese iron coming in. Rearranging some of the machines, which is a massive undertaking for us since most of them weight over 50,000lbs. Any machinists in the house, I would highly recommend looking at DMGMORI for your next purchase. Yes they are high but my god do they perform.

    Got new machine powered up, ready for leveling and setup. Then we had a ballscrew cover crinkle up on one of the other machines. Press and BFH time.

    I did too. The problem is diesel exhaust is too slow. I had much better results just venting to atmosphere. We all know the physics behind the design, but sometimes the practicality of them come into question. I too just vent to the atmosphere now. Simpler and works every time. Jmo

    Exactly, and yeah diesel exhaust is slow, so they do work but not very well. They’ll pull nice vacuum on a NA gas engine.

    SoCal crank has much much much more material. I personally haven’t heard of one breaking. I guess anything is possible though.

    I had the 68/71 witch a s485. Combo was a blast, very DD friendly, amazing topend power. That combo hurt a lot of feelings.

    Something I think a few guys are missing here, tuning IS tampering with an emissions control device. That means even tuning one is illegal. The saddest part, it’s not about the environment, it’s just another money grab.

    The 5 blade holds the record on Marks dyno AFAIK. You use him for tuning, what does he recommend? He spec’d my setup and I couldn’t be happier. Everything just works well.
